This is not the normal type of inflation that could be fought by manipulating interest rates.Simply the supply Vs demand equation is inapplicable because there would not be enough supply.

Not much to do with the situation in Ukraine

More to do with the money supply in circulation.

Won't the situation in Ukraine add up to that?

All inflation can be brought under control by raising interest rates.

The problem here is that major central banks have been printing money like crazy for years now

Add supply chain issues from covid, add more money chasing fewer goods, and you have massive amounts of inflation.

I dont see the situation in Ukraine having a massive affect on inflation in the western world, it will add to it but not that significantly.

Most of this inflation is due to other factors

Britain has a covid crisis, energy crisis, cost of living crisis, Ukraine crisis, and sanctions boomerang crisis, all rolled into one lovely package of TOTAL FAIL which I hope they thoroughly enjoy.

Another Rambo wannabe describes the situation when close to 200 “foreign mercenaries” (read other idiotic wannabe Rambos) got wasted from a missile strike and those that survived headed for the border.

How blind can you be ffs. Ukraine caused sanctions and sanctions cause massive inflation on resources which in turn will cause more inflation on everything else connected with the resources. And you say Ukraine has not had a massive effect. Yeah and pigs will soon fly and I would keep my day job if I was you boy. Toilet brush. Now.

Russias invasion of Ukraine started about 3 weeks ago.

You can see from the CPI graph I posted earlier that inflation was at 5.5% by the start of 2022.

It is expected to go to 6% until the end of February 2022 when the latest data is released on the 23rd March.

Its got nothing to do with Ukraine...

So you reckon it’s worth your time trying to compute the exact percentages of damage caused by the multiple crises hitting Britain right now?

Good luck with that…

Like we give a shit!

Just stating a fact for Bozo and correcting you for alluding to this being the effect of the war in Ukraine.

I bet if I went along with your BS you would have given a shit though.
