They want to fight Russia to the very last Ukrainian and Russia doesnt want to get drawn.

The west talk out of their backsides.

By the way. I am not saying that Russia is innocent in all of this situation.

I have been a supported of the West all my life, but not , like dome, a blind supporter. Back in 1962 with the Cuban crisis, the USA was up in arms over Russian missiles being positioned in Cuba. Why on earth shouldn't Russia be rightly concerned about having NATO on their door step?. Putin is a clever politician, had it been a Kroutchof type he would by now be in Kiev.

Last time America did anyhting half decent was during the Suez attack on Egypt. When France Israel and Britain attacked and Amerika stoped them in their tracks. Of course it was about this time the Yanks overthrew an elected government in Iran and installed the Shah to power which directly led to ISIL via Ayatollahs.

Ofcourse not forgetting back in 1947 when they left people back in Europe to stop socialists coming to power with any means possible. Thousands of socialists were murdered accross Europe.

This is a smokescreen by the the Yanks and BoZo to divert attention from their internal problems. May the lot go to hell.

NATO has been on Russia's borders for years, since the Baltic states, Poland, etc., joined, and across the Black sea from Turkey.
The USSR encouraged the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974 because they hoped to see a falling out between Turkey and the rest of NATO, but that did not happen.

Yeah everybody has a postmortem theory about 1974.
As for where Nato is at the moment you better have a look at a map.

Nice try but it was Nixon who would later recount that in a frantic phone call from Ecevit, his response was…

“We didn’t have any reason for Turkey not to invade Cyprus”

The timeline:

15th July 1974 - Greek coup
20th July 1974 - Turkish invasion
09th Aug 1974 - Nixon’s last day
10th Aug 1974 - Gerald Ford’s first day

Had the foolish Greek junta waited for another month for US regime change, Turkey might have not received the go-ahead to invade Cyprus.

This tells us that the Greek junta was politically out of touch with the good Nixon-Turkey relations.

The new president Gerald Ford, would’ve been reluctant for any sudden Mediterranean and/or NATO destabilization during his first month in office.

American foreign policy does not change with the change of President or even party. The song remains the same.

If you’re responding to my post… the Turkish invasion of Cyprus was not “American policy” but an unforeseen “outside interference” of the said policy.

It was the Ukraine that has wanted to approach the EU and NATO. No one forced or egged them on. In fact, both EU and NATO rejected them as both France and Germany vetoed Ukraine, presumably to not provoke Russia and cause conflict.

But it is of course Ukraine’s sovereign right to determine their own destiny and fulfil their own policies whether that includes a willingness to join the EU or NATO or not. I’m not a supporter of the EU by any means. I hate them. But I support NATO because it offers peace and stability across Europe.

The reason why I don’t like the EU is because the EU has guaranteed poverty across Cyprus and Greece for the next 100 years. How? Well because you are now in debt and that debt is real and you will be paying for it for the next 100 years with trillions worth of interest.

In other countries like the US, the debt isn’t real because the US owns the USD and issues new USD notes at will to pay its massive debt. In their case, it doesn’t matter what the debt is, as long as they don’t let it get to the point where they have to print so much that it will cause massive inflation. Inflation is the determining factor, not the debt itself.

But I digress. Ukraine has the right to determine it’s future and the EU and NATO and the rest of the world has an obligation to support that right because that is a right all nations in this planet have. It’s non negotiable. If it was negotiable, then it’s a literal green light for big country to consume smaller country.

This is a badge of honour for the US.

Most Iranians want the Shah back. Sounds like a ringing approval of the USG by Iranians to me. When the Shah was in power, Iran was a socially cohesive country with freedom to do as you wish.

And you just fuckin landed from planet Uranus boy. What the fuck gave you the idea that countries can do as they wish against American or Russian or even Chinese interests for that matter. Go shag a kangaroo boy.
