What a strategy! 8)

145 million but still just the size of Texas in terms of GDP.

In other words, Europe will sell more luxury cars in Texas than Russia and the buying power of the average Texan is much greater than the average buying power of Russians.

Russia is just a little minnow.

Are you suggesting that GDP and standard of living is the same thing?
Here's a clue for you: After the war is over Russia's GDP in US$ will be zero!
Will their Standard of Living be zero too??

No I'm not suggesting such a thing.

But I am suggesting that the average Texan is much wealthier than the average Russian, earns higher salaries, has bigger savings and spending power and are more than likely to spend more on European luxury cars, and not to mention, American luxury cars as well, like the wonderful Silverado. Seems to be a favourite in Texas and who can blame them?

I'm also suggesting that the Russian economy is about the same size of the Texas economy. That's just 1 state of the USA. So their economy, is most certainly a lot more vulnerable to sanctions than the US. But pootin doesn't care if Russians die of hunger.

It’s a shame you had no similar concern when the masses of exodus were crowded at the ports of Syria, or Libya, or Afghanistan, or Iraq, or elsewhere... in the not too distant past.

That’s the very problem with the West’s crocodile tears over the Ukraine… you just can’t pick and choose which humanitarian calamity is worse… and certainly not when the West is directly responsible for all the previous ones!

Sorry mate… :(

But you haven’t convinced me that the Ukraine is more important than any of the previous nations that the West trashed.

Quite a bit of it "My Dad's bigger than your Dad!" playground stuff unfortunately. :(

Here's an interesting picture:

Kviv station.jpg

It was taken in the past week at Kviv station. De-colourised to make the point of it's comparison with so many similar situations in our past.

So far 2 million have fled their country.

So what?

Bring on the nukes - that'll teach 'em!

Just to make it very clear to you, I am actually extremely disgusted at the unfolding tragedy in Ukraine and of the suffering of the Ukraine people.

Personally, I just can't believe we can all just sit and watch as a big country pounds innocent people into oblivion.

I have never called these people babboons, and never will. Or ever wish a Nuclear holocaust upon them, or a chemical attack (which I believe is imminent sadly).

Get Real, and some others here are extremists. Jumping on the bandwagon like Football supporters. But that's Cypriots for you. Some have the narrative that Russia = good, America = bad. It's just the way they are. America's enemy, will always be their friend, even if that enemy was Hitler and was marching millions of people into gas chambers in the largest genocide man has ever seen. They will still consider this person to be good, because he is America's enemy which is automatically bad.

that's the mentality of some people in here.

Having said that about some 'extremists that we have here, the Cyprus Government seems to have adopted a stance that seems consistent with the EU and even the US. This stance seems to be bipartisan accross the main political parties in Cyprus, such as DISY, DIKO, EDEK and AKEL.

So Cyprus itself and its political institutions have condemned Russia's actions and have even issued sanctions of their own and have also banned Russian aircraft using Cypriot Airspace.

There may be the odd Cypriot nutcase in Parliament - we all seem to have them these days, Cyprus being no exception, but overall Cyprus does not seem to share extremist positions like we see here where America's enemy is my friend type of attitude.

And overall, I suspect the vast majority of Cypriots also condemn Russia's invasion. so this forum does seem to be a rather nasty echo chamber of extreme views.

No - please don't be "sorry". Instead perhaps address the actual issues in this situation. Rather than repeatedly falling back onto whataboutism's. They do not justify what's happening at the moment in Ukraine. No matter how much that might help you to reconcile your mental problems with it.

How do you know what my "concerns" are? You seem to automatically assume that those who oppose A are hypocrites, because in the past they didn't oppose B. You have absolutely no idea what my views were at the time of the conflicts you mention.

Address the issues at hand. The subject of this thread. Russia's invasion of their neighbouring country of Ukraine. Where it is currently involved in large-scale destruction of the country and slaughter of it's population.

You keep using infantile expressions such as the Ukrainians being "Baboons" what's happening to them a well-deserved "bitch slapping". Moreover, on several occasions you have advocated the use of nuclear weapons. The idea of which seems to tickle your keyboard warrior ego.

The picture I posted is of real people. Mostly women and children. They are massing together in order to get out of their own country, escaping the violence inflicted upon them.

This is one man's war. Vladimir Putin. A dictator for 22 years. A man who was clearly traumatised by the fall of the Soviet Union (you keep referring to that. It's long gone!) and dreams of a return to those days. This - one - man - has at his fingertips the power to destroy the world we now live our comfortable lives in and return us to dog-eat-dog survival.

I'm not sure whether you are just a big wind up merchant or truly believe the stuff you pump out. If the former then you are an idiot Sir. If the latter then I would suggest (obviously nugatory) that you urgently seek treatment. Bearing in mind that it seems the blundering Russian airforce are currently bombing psychiatric hospitals.

Look, if you cannot enlighten me as to why the Ukraine is so great then I can only attempt to use common sense to see the “worth” of the Ukraine, in this way…

“The Ukraine is one of the world’s most corrupt states, led by an all-jewish government of cross-dressing homosexuals who have been harboring US bio-warfare labs, and brought us to the brink of WWIII.”

Hmm, sounds like a most dangerous shit-hole to me that should be liquidated asap!

My verdict: NUKE THEM!

It's actually a democratic country and a lot less corrupt than Pootin's Russia.

I'd like to rest my case. Before that though I am - sincerely - no, really - interested in the opinion of anyone else on this forum who doesn't think this man has mental issues. I suppose I mean those who agree with his oft expressed views that the baboon Ukrainians deserve the bitch slapping currently being inflicted upon them? And that nuclear weapons should be employed to sort the situation out. Anybody?

There's always the possibility that he's pissed of course.

I can furnish examples of the sort of thing he has posted about me when in a similarly inebriated state in the past - if anyone's interested. 8)

Perhaps a - he had no idea who he was fuckin' with - sorta thing.

Well here you go again... you resort to personal attacks because you are beaten in logical debate!

So unless someone can enlighten us as to why the Ukraine’s demise is a very special case that should send us all into an instant hysterical mourning… I cannot change my logical stance that it should be nuked!

Ah well... you failed!

I'm sorry but he does have a point.

You are certainly open to personal attack against you state of mind as you once again support a nuclear attack on Ukraine. Not to mention the fact, that you live so close to Ukraine. You don't sound logical at all.
