Exactly the opposite...

When you remove American brands from the Russian market not only is America losing a 145 million strong market, but it forces the Russian public to buy LOCAL and that always improves Russia’s balance of trade.

Russia’s BOT was already very healthy (2nd place in 2018)… now I expect it to surge to the world’s top spot if not already there.

Look at the other end of the table for a good laugh!

Both the US and the UK are at JUNK level… (no future)

United Kingdom $-34,003,905,948

United States $-609,460,000,000

Yes, point taken, however, in the short term everyone will pay the price, including those imposing the sanctions, mainly the capitalist USA companies. When the next quarterly earnings start to suffer, they will question whether it was correct for them to jump on the Russian sanctions bandwagon.

I do agree that on the long run, Russia will come out of all this more independent from the west’s sphere of economic and political hegemony.

Most of them have pulled out all their operations from Russia - Apple, Microsoft, Google, McDonalds just to name a few.

Which is excellent, because they are putting human rights, and the interests of Ukraine as a sovereign country ahead of their profits.

And tio be fair, these corporates have only expanded their global appeal for doing that.

Tyhe west has decided to not bankroll Russia's war and assault against the Ukrainian people. It's the right thing to do.

When Australia started to cut off its economic ties with China, you all said Australia will crumble and fall apart. It didn't. It continues to thrive and prosper, and in fact it was China that had all the power outages and energy shortage.

We came through the other end. And the west has done the right thing in regards to Ukraine and Russia, and will likewise survive because we are not the ones who will face up to economic isolation.

No end to European stupidity…

“Brussels to ban export of EU luxury goods to Russia in fourth round of sanctions over Ukraine war”

https://www.euronews.com/my-europe/2022 ... -to-russia

What chance do baboons have at defeating Russia in an economic war?

The US and the EU’s “economic war” on Russia is essentially comprised of...

“We refuse to profit from your 145 million strong consumer market!”

What a strategy! 8)

Excellent move by Europe as well.

And Cyprus is party to it as well. Speaking of watching streams, last night I logged into Sigma CY and RIKSAT just to see the Cypriot perspective on Ukraine.

And, it just amazes me, Cyprus has taken the exact same approach as its EU partners and the US. And the stance was across all political lines - DISY, DIKO, and even AKEL. All in line lock stock and barrel, with the EU and US. You must be drinking the Russian cool aid.

I also logged in to Russia Today for some comic relief. It was a great comedy show that one.

145 million but still just the size of Texas in terms of GDP.

In other words, Europe will sell more luxury cars in Texas than Russia and the buying power of the average Texan is much greater than the average buying power of Russians.

Russia is just a little minnow.

It’s the “strategy” from the same baboons which are completely bankrupt with domestic trade deficits and debt that cannot possibly be serviced!

Once the dollar hegemony is tilted; and we’re on our way there thanks to this massive Western blunder against Russia, their game will be up and these two criminal baboons will have to face the music.

Technically, neither the US nor the UK should be allowed to borrow any money, not even a dollar… but go straight into receivership!

They’ve been able to survive thus far by mass CHEATING (I’ll explain in detail some other time how it’s done).

But once the Sino-Russian alliance take over the planet these two criminals baboons are gonna have to face the music and go belly-up overnight.

I just hope I’ll be right here to see it all… :)

This really isn't about the US or UK now is it?

It's about the entire world who are in solidarity with Ukraine against the illegal and criminal Russian invasion.

I filed a complaint to Admin about Paphitis’ selfish behavior… I hope I can get a result.

I’m pushing for a limit on the number of videos someone can post p/day etc.

I only watched one of Paphitis' UT videos, a rather short one about 15 minutes, only to discover it was fake news. There was absolutely NO REPORT to Putin, the "report" was actually a personal diary.
Paphitis is a known character to me, take him seriously and he could waste half your life time

You missed the best one then which you should have watched.

In fact most of them were pretty good, including the one where an Aussie Journalist interviewed the former Ukrainian President, on the front lines with the Ukrainian Military.

You should watch most of them because the content is pretty A Grade. I try to avoid propganda as much as I can. Always seeking the truth.

I even seek good Russian content and have some great Russian sources that are actually reporting on the truth, are anti war and want a more free and less corrupt Russia. Sadly, these journalists are all being arrested now, and these media outlets are being classified as terrorist organisations.

I posted a link on an excellent Russian source earlier - Meduza. now the quality of journalism from that outlet is easily on par with the best the west has to offer. It's a great source with great reporting from inside Russia. Sadly though, this outlet is at risk. The journalists there are some very brave people.

The standard of journalism is exceptional. They deserve our support. Sadly, the lives of these journalists and this outlet are under threat and could be declared to be a "terrorist and/or extremist organisation"
