The West’s media reports...

“Unlikely Russia will succeed in Kyiv assault - Nato ex-official”

So has Russia’s military campaign against the Ukraine been successful so far? :?

Well, it all depends on how you interpret “success”. Here’s my interpretation thereof...

* Has Russia eliminated the Ukraine’s propensity to join any Western block?
Verdict: Absolutely!

* Has Russia sent a clear warning to all and sundry, about violating soviet territory?
Verdict: Absolutely!

* Has Russia proven her resolve and rejuvenated her status as the top dog and protector of soviet territory?
Verdict: Absolutely!

* Having sent the Ukraine back to stone age, is Russia now in a superior negotiating position against the Ukraine, than they were a month ago?
Verdict: Absolutely!

I see plenty of success...

There was one hidden cucumber…

I filed a complaint to Admin about Paphitis’ selfish behavior… I hope I can get a result.

I’m pushing for a limit on the number of videos someone can post p/day etc.

Well, RW’s not going to vote for that. 8)

Yes, I reported both these video posting abusers who systematically and rudely disrupt debate.

The whole point of debate is to use links, images and videos to SUPPORT one’s argument, but a video all by itself is not an argument or debate but a derailment of the thread.

Yes, the mountain of sanctions against Russia and the Russian people from companies mostly being American companies no doubt will hurt the Russian people and Russia, however, all these American companies imposing sanctions on 144 million Russians is also going to hurt themselves financially when their next earnings reports come in, which will hurt the stock market by wiping off $Billions from Wall Street along with the rising inflation. The Ukraine-Russian war will have far reaching economic disaster not only to themselves, but others also not directly involved in that war.

Exactly the opposite...

When you remove American brands from the Russian market not only is America losing a 145 million strong market, but it forces the Russian public to buy LOCAL and that always improves Russia’s balance of trade.

Russia’s BOT was already very healthy (2nd place in 2018)… now I expect it to surge to the world’s top spot if not already there.

Look at the other end of the table for a good laugh!

Both the US and the UK are at JUNK level… (no future)

United Kingdom $-34,003,905,948

United States $-609,460,000,000

Surely any resources Russia produces will be snapped up by China, India and Pakistan as well as a few other countries friendly with Russia. Russian economy will not be hit in the medium and the long term, where as Western economies will take an allmighty hit till they convert to renewable energy.
On another plus side is no crap burger food so the russians will have to return to strogonov and goulash.

Here is a world class Russian Media outlet.

The standard of journalism is exceptional. They deserve our support. Sadly, the lives of these journalists and this outlet are under threat and could be declared to be a "terrorist and/or extremist organisation"

Check them out before they are shut down.

Yes, point taken, however, in the short term everyone will pay the price, including those imposing the sanctions, mainly the capitalist USA companies. When the next quarterly earnings start to suffer, they will question whether it was correct for them to jump on the Russian sanctions bandwagon.

I do agree that on the long run, Russia will come out of all this more independent from the west’s sphere of economic and political hegemony.
