A little roundup of external forces willing to join Russia so far, since there are indicators today of this war turning into a long-term circus with the Ukrainian territory being the "arena"...

* The Syrians are battle hardened (2011..2022) and very loyal to “General Putin”… today I read that all captured new US armament shipments that were sent to the Ukraine, will be given to the Syrians along with the required training.

* From the Middle East I’ve read of up to 16,000 miscellaneous fighters, all of which have an anti-American score to settle and seem eager to inflict damage on the enemy.

* I have no idea what’s happened to the 12,000 volunteered Chechens… I get the impression that Putin is a little bit reluctant to use them… maybe they’re too brutal… they’re like animals.

* The Belarus has initially offered 50,000 but can go up to 100,000 if needed, however Putin knows that Belarus will want things in return like nuclear weapons and perhaps Ukrainian territory. The Belorussians are a force to be reckoned with… pretty vicious and very old-school soviet-like… probably the best from all the outsiders looking to join, but they’ll come at a price.

That’s all for now on this matter.

The last time we saw that was Saddam Hussein parading Yanks and Brit pilots, and the West was SHOCKED!

But they seem to enjoy it now!

These soldiers should be thanking their lucky stars, being allowed a press conference with international media. Their names were also revealed, allowing their families in Russia know that they are alive and healthy.

If you were to abuse, torture or kill them, you wouldn't parade them in front of the global media. So these Russian soldiers are safe now.

They are lucky they were captured by Ukrainians who are nice people overall and peaceful.

Which part of... it is ILLEGAL to parade and interview in public captured 20 year olds, don’t you understand Paphitis?

Here is the relevant provision:

Convention (III) relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War. Geneva, 12 August 1949.

COMMENTARY OF 2020
ARTICLE 13 : HUMANE TREATMENT OF PRISONERS

Text of the provision*

(1) Prisoners of war must at all times be humanely treated. Any unlawful act or omission by the Detaining Power causing death or seriously endangering the health of a prisoner of war in its custody is prohibited and will be regarded as a serious breach of the present Convention. In particular, no prisoner of war may be subjected to physical mutilation or to medical or scientific experiments of any kind which are not justified by the medical, dental or hospital treatment of the prisoner concerned and carried out in his interest.

(2) Likewise, prisoners of war must at all times be protected, particularly against acts of violence or intimidation and against insults and public curiosity.

(3) Measures of reprisal against prisoners of war are prohibited.

* Paragraph numbers have been added for ease of reference.

Likewise, the Fourth Geneva Convention, covering civilians, states:

Protected persons are entitled, in all circumstances, to respect for their persons, their honour, their family rights, their religious convictions and practices, and their manners and customs. They shall at all times be humanely treated, and shall be protected especially against all acts of violence or threats thereof and against insults and public curiosity.

Bite me!

This is the best thing that has happened to the Russians.

It'sd fantastic that Ukraine had international media there.

In Afghanistan, our SAS didn't invite any media when they captured Taliban. They were executed.

Just go play with your little willie Koala... :)

It’s a war crime and a well-advertised one.

These Russian soldiers are safe now. They will survive the war.

The alternative of course for the Ukrainians, with their backs to the wall, and needing every man to fight the onslaught, could have possibly have been very much a war crime.

These soldiers are now revealed to the world, and registered POWs and are protected by the Geneva Convection.

There are militaries in this world who would have executed them. One such military now known for executing captives is the Australian SAS. It was America that was the whistleblower to this.

You are a first class idiot... Russia has captured THOUSANDS of Ukrainian soldiers but none will be paraded because Russia knows the rules.

As for your junk youtube videos... they are out of touch with reality.

There is only one direction for the Ukraine and its criminal cronies installed by the US… and it points downwards. :)

There is no escape from it.

In order to capture thousands, you need a disciplined army that knows how to arrange their armoured vehicles. the fact that they are parking them bumper to bumper shows no discipline, and no competence and such an army would be lucky to survive let alone capture thousands of Ukrainian military on their own turf.

As for the criminal cronies. That's what the Russians are.

Ukraine has maintained its dignity and the US whistleblew on its ally in Afghanistan over some war crimes. So I'm afraid, there is no comparison between Russia and America.
