This war’s been raging for over 2 years now. During which, Russia’s taken about 18% of Ukraine. Much of that the Russian speaking part. Until the recent “liberation” of Bakhmut and Avdiivka (at significant loss of men and material it seems) it had basically degenerated into a fairly static war of attrition. A deal of it WW1-like trench/artillery slogging it out warfare.
I think the original premise was if this has been 2 years of the Russian army at their best, against a country like Ukraine, the idea they could take on NATO, or even one of its significant members, is fantasy. Which is why it’s not going to happen.
There’s only been one man pushing for a war (though it’s turned out to be a much bigger one than he originally calculated) and there’s only one Fascist involved.
