If Putin is a better man, we would find this food distributed with equity where it is needed.

...look at the games played, with food, in Syria.

The whole issue is to cause a social turmoil, by instigating the already economically suffering lower classes, to revolt against their elites, for what they are doing to Russia. Most people in the EU don't really understand why everything became so expensive and not affordable. But they will surely understand it when a loaf of bread will cost 20 Euros per loaf, when Russia embargoes it.

That's what the West was always aiming at with all those (19? so far) packages of sanctions against Russia.

What is good for the gander is good for the goose, don't you think?

And Russia wasn't the one who started it, it was the West!

...you get my point, thinking a little further.

It was too late for Putin even before he started this thing, what is it ten or fifteen years ago; nothing there, but a wanna be.

So it was President Putin who started this war "ten or fifteen years ago" huh?

Well, sometimes wishes do come true!

Message aside. Brilliant film I though. 1968. Seems like only yesterday. :(

Agree with you 100%! :D

If you check the facts I think you will find that 'this thing' became apparent in 2013-2014 and was initiated by a small group of fascists in the NW of Ukraine, assisted by the good old USA! That led to the 2014 coup, which established an anti-Russian government.

Russia at the request of a self declared independent Crimea accepted their request to become part of the Russian Federation when threatened by the Kyiv regime. So the story Russia invaded was another lie .... as they already had 18,000 personnel there by legal agreement by treaty with the ELECTED government.

Many of those with Russian roots in the South and the East were opposed to this US takeover and the overthrow of their elected President and protested. The Regime in Kyiv decided to use military force to put down the uprising which resulted in the death of 14,000 Ukrainians.

That is best described as a genocidal civil war which continued until about a week before the Russians responded to the Kyiv invasion of Donbas. In the weeks leading up to the Kyiv invasion, the Ukraine built up around 160,000 regime troops on the Donbas Line of Contact and Russia responded with a demonstration of their probable response to counter the Kyiv regimes moves. A warning?

Encouraged by the US, the Kyiv force attacked around 14th-15th Feb 2022 and started to occupy Donbas according to OSCE SMM daily reports.

At 5am on the 24th Feb 2022 Russia responded to a RTP requested by Donetsk and Luhansk to Kyiv's provocation and aggression against the break-away region of Donbas.

This is historic detail that you may not be aware of? So the suggestion that the Russian response was illegal and totally unprovoked ..... as the Wester Alliance would have you believe ........ is actually just a case of leaving out a few inconvenient facts.

How much more factual information do people need? If they cannot grasp what really happened only 10 or so years ago what chance do they have to understand what happened decades ago.

...what started this war were the rusty pipes.

Corruption started this war. Those who enjoyed its reward could not be bothered to care for them, wanting more.

https://www.npr.org/2022/02/12/10802054 ... ine-russia

...indeed the fight for a Ukraine independent of Russia actually started in Moscow, 1991.

...had the (gas) pipes in Ukraine been well maintained, would what followed have evolved as they did?
