...sadly George Karageorgis passed away on Christmas Day aged 92, in London, but his Legacy lives on; feeding the rich and famous along with regular customers: great entertainment and authentically good food.

...a story that spans over 70 years; "Then in 1962 came the big chance. Back in 1936, the brothers’ uncle, George Varnavas, a former maitre d’ at the Savoy Hotel, had opened the Elysee Restaurant in 13 Percy St. London W1. George and Michael – joined later by their younger brother and my godfather Odysseas – took over the restaurant." The restaurant is still run by family members.
