The thing is though, no one is forced to join the EU. It is totally a voluntary action should the joining country and it’s people meet ALL the requirements to join the EU. Living under empires was not a voluntary acts, therefore you need to differentiate between Cyprus under the British and an “equal” member country in the EU.
Oh yeh! We saw what the EU tried to do to Britain for wanting to leave.
The EU did not refuse for the UK to leave.
The EU demanded the UK would meet it’s obligations in order to leave the Union.
Even after the UK had agreed to the terms of leaving the EU, it has tried to backpedal on the terms since leaving.
As you can see, the sun did rise again and again and again after the UK left the EU.

Come off it Kikapu. The EU claimed they didn't refuse but they put every obstacle in place, interfered with a sovereign countries internal politics and parliament, tried to shame the UK and even tried to hold it to ransom and blackmail them.
From then on, I knew the EU was bad news. It's literally a dictatorship.
And I really pity Cyprus now because they are in an organization they can't control and have buckleys chance of getting out off.
It was so difficult for the UK which did hold democratic referendum on the issue.
What the EU did was wage an economic and political war against the UK, and in my opinion, what the EU did was much worse than what the UK did to Cyprus in the 50s and 60s. Or at the very least, right up there in imperialism.

You are clueless as per usual.
During the taks BoZo was told even by his own negotiator that if he removes the insurance policy which May negotiated he is in effect drawing the border down the Irish Sea. Not because of interfering in the internal affairs of UK but because of the GFA signed by the British government where there cannot be a border between the two irelands.
It has since been divulged that the reason why the Protestants did not kick a fuss was because he promissed them he will be able pretend that Article 16 is applicable and use it. It is not just checks these cunts are against they also want the ECJ not to apply to Northern Ireland. UK gave up the rights to NI when they signed the GFA.
So stop talking about things you have no idea on. Go out in the outback, find yourself a kangoroo and have a whale of a time.
Now fuck off.
