How stupid I have been working 12-14 hours a day, 6 days a week and often on Sundays to catch up.
How much more stupid I have been training both son and daughter to do technical work for me, so that they 'd earn their pocket money in the summer.Which father would ever train his 16 y.o girl to use a grinding wheel or to paint a whole warehouse??
However people who think sitting in an office playing the boss, is the way to start raining Euros, are clearly more stupid than me. 8)

My father did the same. We helped him in all his work till moved out of Cyprus during the summers.

I did not demand that from my children. They enjoed their holidays and worked hard to get to Uni with good qualifications and good jobs.

Now about raining Euros, well in my case pounds. It is possible. You have to see an opporotunity and grab it. If it does not work you move on to something else.

If you are working 12 to 14 hours a day 6 days a week and sometimes Sundays too you are not doing it right or you are in the wrong business. There must be another way or you need to learn a new skill. Time to move on and change.

I am pleased that in the last 20 years I have never actually worked more than 6 hours a day not including tea breaks and lunch of course, never worked weekends although I do travel Sunday evening sometimes so as to be there monday morning.

Pyro I have an idea. Perhaps we can chat. You may like what I am going to tell you.

I actually worked without IT and with. I have increased my production in 40 hours upto 10 fold. Who the hell got the benefit of that. When I realised it did not need to be that way, change was implemented at the first opporotunity.
