Turkey's National issue (Cyprus) will be a topic of debate in the next Presidential elections.

And this is good news because the same consideration toward Turkey's People, that as Persons they are different yet as Individuals the same, will bring into stark contrast Erdogan's efforts to define "Turkishness" as he sees it.

...i shall be watching this issue more closely. In my mind it has opened a door to Cypriots and to Turks alike, to bring reform to their Constitutions which as Peoples, they may join as equals (their distinct identities as one) to fight the real enemies that plague them, like Disease, the Climate's change, and Ignorance.

I would not raise my hopes too high RW. CHP sometimes behaves worse than MHP.

The Alevi may see real reform in Turkey, with Turkey a Muslim country, and having religions, beyond the one religion "Turks" associate with.

This is more bull from AKP. They are not going to look at anybody'd concerns, they are just going tot take what they can for a slong as they can.

As to Cyprus, each day that goes by they have the claws a little deeper. At the moment there is only two MPs who originate from Turkey, wih the left wing taken leave of their mind on a boycot for the elections in January may well increase their numbers to a much higer figure so they can claim more power because they hold the balance. Rather than solving the issue they will make it more unsolvable. Each year that goes by it just shifts a bit more to being unable to solve.

Sooner or later, Cypriots may well realise that unless they speak as Cypriots, they will loose even their personal identities to the "Turkishness" which leaves Turks divided amongst themselves, and silenced like the Greek Cypriots who are divided as it is, as "Greeks".

Enosis, i see no other way frankly. Cypriots, Greek and Turkish, must take back the word, through acts, to give it its Cypriot meaning.

There is one problem with any solution. Israel does not want a solution thinking sooner or later the world will tire of the problem and will give up asking for anything so they can have the whole lot.

What they have not counted on is that people will not give up on their land ever and they will have the current situation fester in their land with deaths and fear.
