''"There are too many Afghans starving today, too many Afghans who are cold; we all need to act faster," a senior administration official told reporters during a press call announcing the general license.''

...and more news.

"All Public Universities in Afghanistan Open to Male, Female Students"

...while students are still strictly segregated, with mixed reactions from students, education opens for all.

...yet today we read,

''Thousands of Afghan girls were turned away from their school gates on Wednesday morning, after the highly anticipated start of the school year. But in a last-minute announcement, the Taliban government announced that it needed to finalise a uniform that is up to “Sharia law and Afghan tradition”.''

...all of them wearing the prescribed uniform, a big disappointment in affect for about half of Afghanistan's youth.

I personally appreciate your sterling efforts to stimulate discussion on topics other than Ukraine RW.

Nevertheless, I think you're wasting your time.

This forum has been taken over, to become in essence the personal Blog of GR. Devoted to his obvious love of what's going on in Ukraine. He's waited a long time and this for him is clearly a glorious period in history.

I suspect it will be quite some time before members will get back to any semblance of what so recently passed as normality. :(

...if you do not use Facebook, this is your choice to speak as Cypriots should; everyday: for Freedom and Liberty, and as a Citizen of the world, in Cyprus.

...act accordingly if you support this cause; my humble suggestion.

What is there to be said that has not been said already.
1. America created Taliban to overthrow the Socialist elected government of Afghanistan.
2. Russia came to help so America helped Taliban to drive the Russians out.
3. Once the Talina turned on themthey invaded Afghanistanand devestated the country.
4. They then pretended to the world that they were the good guys and were there to restore democracy.
5. When the going got tough they run away and left the ordinary afghanies in the hands of the very monster they created.

And now what are we supposed to say? How uncivilised the Taliban is? Really?

Who are uncivilised again?

..."the ISIS state" declare themselves with another suicide bomb, 7 the last month in Afghanistan.

...Al-Queda is making a comeback too; and recruiting for an affiliate, from South Asia.

The Taliban does not seem to be making such security concerns a priority.
