Macron vs Morrison at the G20

Postby Paphitis » Mon Nov 01, 2021 12:53 pm

Feast your eyes on this one folks.

To my left, the most livid Macron holding an axe to the grinder, and to the right, Morrison the contract slayer.

Actually, Morrison has been a total gentleman trying to calm tensions but Macron has a bone to pick.

Let’s see how this pans out.

What do you think the topic of conversation will be?

Don’t think Macron is in the mood for pleasantries.

Macron needs to remember that it was Australia who saved France from Germany in WW1. They just wanted to opt for the Nuclear Submarine option due to an ever evolving situation in the Asia Pacific necessitating this drastic action against a threat France also faces.

Didn't realise they were into selling nuclear subs though

Prime Minister of Australia. The guy who tore up an 80 billion dollar contract to buy French Submarines, and instead opting for a US Nuclear Powered option, yet to be finalised and as part of a new AUKUS partnership with US and UK which may involve leases on US California or LA class as a stop gap till the new subs are commissioned.

Macron knows Morrison well and has his picture on a dart board.

When we get these boats, we will let your single SAR Huey repel a rescuer on board to help with your training.

It’s the least we can do.

Just for the record, I do feel bad for France. It could have been handled better.

But Australia had to go with a new deal with US and UK because our new subs won’t hit the water till late 2030s at least and in that time, the US is the only country prepared to lease Nuclear Submarines to Australia, complete with training and full back up. So, US is the only option in town.

I of course knew that years ago. And it was always known Australia was working in the background with the US and had lost interest in the French program as the subs were not Nuclear Powered. Macron should have known what was going on a long time ago.
