I have no problem living side by side, next door, over the road or in share accomodation with my chums the turkish cypriots. No probs at all cuz!

Living in a mutlicultural society doesnt guarantee harmony amongst different races and cultures - it actually creates segregation in my opinion especially here in Australia!

Your missing the point man, I never said we should be ethnically pure lol, ethnic purity is a mythology it doesnt exist, I may have Greek blood you may have Turk blood its all a matter of perception.

However, I was bought up a Turk, speak Turkish and am a Muslim, these are 3 simple facts.

You are bought up a Greek, speak Greek and maybe are Greek Orthodox?

Now, I dont have any intentions of learning Greek, teaching my kids their Greek or converting, when we live together it causes more problems then solves them, its all good being Pollitically Correct and saying oh but it doesnt have to be like that, I'm sorry to tell you man but thats the sad case of Humans. In London you have Blacks in one side, Turks in another, Asians in another, Greeks in another, who mainly stick together, form there area's apply their own rules become even more Nationalistic and stuck in their ways then they wud have done back home.

Now, be honest, do you want to learn Turkish, do you want your kids to learn Turkish because if Cyprus is united how are people meant to communicate lets put it into perspective

1. Gc speak Greek Tc speak Turkish
2. Gc are Orthodox Christian Tc Muslim

So it will just be artificial union, cos no1 understands each other or knows whats going on lol, we'll all be lost in our own little illusionate world.

I have no problem learning turkish or teaching my kids turkish or what ever language you want if the nett result is peace. I'll teach them bloody esperanto---If your racist attitudes reflect the consensus of Tukrish Cypriot positions then perhaps the UN emabroges against you do not go far enough!
