mmmm yanks are making a terrible mistake.
Have you thought perhaps the West is feeding Turkey to the lions, I mean to the Taliban?
The Taliban will be able to overrun the Kabul airport overnight once NATO completely pull out of Afghanistan.
What can the Turkish 500 strong military personnel going to do against the Taliban?
Either Erdogan is going to play along with the Taliban and be a “yes man” or he will get his soldiers killed.
To the Taliban, Turkey is NATO, so good luck to Turkey to be trusted by the Taliban.
Have you considered what theTurks did in 1964 with about 100 doldiers in Cyprus. That will answer your question. There is hundreds of thousands of Turkic speaking that can mobilise. Few years back I remeber one commander called Abdul Rashid Dostum. I wonder if he is stil there, if not his sons will be there.

The Taliban has given two superpowers a good run for their money in the last 4 decades, both wearing their butts for a hat as they left Afghanistan defeated. I know Turkey thinks it is a superpower, but it is not. The only thing Turkey can do in Afghanistan and not become in the Talibans crosshairs, is for them to say “how high” when they are told to jump. Erdogan believes he can cosy up to the Talibans just as he has done with the Russians to gain some benefits from the West. A risky gamble by yet burning another candle from both ends.
You are paying them too much respect. Without the USA the towel heads would not have been able to wipe their ass never mind defeat the Russians. Since then of course the Taliban have used the training that the USA supplied them to defeat the Yanks and I mean when it comes to the Yanks lets face it they are no warriors. They are good at playing with their joystiks in the cockpits in their little playrooms but put them in a proper war where they are risking their lives and they will run a mile. And of course Taliban use the Heroin trade they send to America to raise funds and also they have their not so incosiderable backers in Saudi lands that help financially.
Are you unaware what happened to the Yanks when they first joined the WW2 and landed their forces to fight the Germans, they got their ass kiccked.
In reality Turkey will not even want to defeat the Taliban, they will take control of a part of Afghanistan where Taliban will be allowed in. Not that different to what they did in Cyprus. Are you telling me the 5 million people or so who hate Taliban and their strict rules will object to that. They will gladly join the Militia to keep Talibanout of their areas and it is their right to protect their culture from the religous assholes like Taliban.
The old oneyed cunt in charge of Afghanistan before the Americans attacked was told that the rule about women only being able to go out to buy food with a male member meant a lot of families will not be able to buy food as male members are all killed responded by saying god will provide for them.
Are we here now opposing what Turkey is doing and resigning to the fact that these backwards swine be allowed to return to power all over the country.
It really is not rocket science. The northern part of the country with over 5 milion Turkic speaking people will govern themselves without any interference from the Taliban. If Talibanattack and try to get it back the Turkic Militia under the supervision of the Turkish Soldiers will see the Taliban off easily. You are understinating the descendents of Cengiz Han. War is intheir blood especially when they have to defend themselves.
Somebody mentioned the airport. If the Airport is not in the area controlled by the Turkic people they wil lbuld one where they are. I don't know if you boys of the GC origin relaise that in the good oll "TRNC", there are two airports and other than Jumbo jets any plane can land there. Its really no big deal to plonk an airport on a flattish piece of ground.
