In the meantime over at the Swine farm cost of living is taking a nasty turn.
Surely somebody in the Swine party and the Bank of England must have some understanding of inflation. Inflation cannot always be controlled by Interest rates. We have now had 7 consecutive increases and it has not worked, why would it work now.

Inflation is caused by corporate greed, and it has to be stopped. Energy market is not a real market, there is no competition so all it is one private giant monopoly a law onto itself and can do as it pleases. Except in Germany and Netherlands who have nationalised it and France which was never privatised.

the mainstream media is relentless. Anything to somehow portray that these are not deserving refugees. It is a fact that 90% of people arriving on the boats are refugees and they have no other way of coming here.

It does not help that a minister is on the media claiming that France is a safe country, and the refugees have no right to cross to UK. Under which international law does it say they cannot asshole. What was more telling about is his understanding of how perhaps Iranians can come here legally. He said if they can get on a plane and arrive here from Tehran their case will be heard. He forgets the Swine party passed laws that punish airlines who have passengers without visas. In any case which refugee would risk getting on a plane in Tehran without arousing the suspicions of the Iranian authorities.

If only the west stopped bombing the hell out of these people militarily and economically, perhaps they will not have a need to come here at all.

With energy corporations standing to make 190 billion pounds windfall profits, every single penny of the windfall must be taxed. They are allowed to make normal profits no more. They should not be benefiting from the situation where the energy market is using the Ukrainian war as a smoke screen to scam the public.
