3. Larger farms cover three quarters of the farmland.
4. Farms varying in size between 20 hectares to 100 hectares.
5. Around 50% of all holdings are under 50 acres, with many farms being family-run units.
6. As of 2022, there were approximately 92,100 farmers working in the United Kingdom, compared with 113,200 in 2010.
7. Despite heavy investment in subsidiaries and fertile soil, high technology, and skilled manpower, the country has low farm earnings, which has been attributed to low prices at the gate of farms.
There can only be one reason for this. Corporations control the price of machinery, seed and fertilizer as well as the price a farmer can sell their produce.
This also apply to the rest of the world which is how they keep developing world population on the edge of starvation.
