Ministers did not carry out a specific impact assessment on the withdrawal of the winter fuel payment from the bulk of pensioners, such as the potential effect on illness and death rates among older people, Downing Street has said.

But speaking to BBC One’s Breakfast programme on Thursday, Wes Streeting, the health secretary, said no assessment had been done. Asked whether a report on the potential health impact of the policy was on his desk, he replied: “There’s no such report, and there’s no such report on my desk.”

Unfortunately the NHS will have to carry the can looking after pensioners that will suffer the consequences of this policy.

This year even before the 20% VAT is added to the fees charged by Private schools, a few declared they were closing. Even though the VAT has not been added yet, the media has declared that it was caused by the intention of adding VAT to the fees.

Now here is a surprise news you will not be seeing in the media.

A private school will take on the full 20pc cost of Labour’s VAT raid in the hopes of attracting new pupils from rival independents.
Heath House Preparatory School, in Blackheath, London, has told parents it will absorb the £250,000 bill indefinitely from January to “provide stability for pupils and avoid any kind of disruption”.

So much for schools will close and the state will have to educate these children.
If this school was not making a million pounds in profit per year, they would not be in business. Of course in reality, business has no business poking it's ugly nose into education but that's another story for another day.

The BBC still refers to people in boats as migrants when they know very well that they are more than 80% asylum seekers.

What is the point of allowing these people to get into these dangerous boats only to be taken somewhere else for processing. They accept that people who are from a non-safe country are legitimate so why the hell not allow these people locations to apply for asylum in a safe country and return the rest like they have been doing to the Albanians.

They seem to speak to the countries like Italy and Greece to see what they are doing. Especially as their minister is up for charge of endangering life by refusing charity boats to dock in Italy and we all know what Greek Coastguard are up to. They also pay the North African countries to stop people by any means possible which includes torture.

Anything they do to prevent the boats will simply mean boats going to somewhere even more dangerous.
