What shambles. First it was Medical people and now they are giving visas to more workers. What the fuck was the point of Brexit then?

Ministers relax visa rules for foreign bricklayers, roofers, carpenters and plasterers after Home Office deems there to be a 'shortage' of construction workers

So, these workers will be making minimum £75,000 a year, right?

Wasn’t it what the big lie was to get Brexit done, that the government was only going to grant visas to foreign workers if they were going to earn at least £75,000 a year, bragging that they would only be importing high end skilled workers.

UK already had these workers they need now from EU member countries, but kicked them out with Brexit!

What a bunch of lying cunts. :D

Many fuckers in the UK fell for it too, just like they are falling for all the propaganda on Ukraine now.

No they soon changed that as they needed nurses and care workers.

The UK salary requirements for migrants are as follows:

Skilled migrants from outside the EU currently need to have a job offer with a minimum salary of £30,000.

The Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) has recommended that the minimum salary requirement should fall to £25,600 for all workers to help recruit teachers and skilled NHS staff.

The salary requirement for new entrants is £20,480 per year or 70% of the ‘going rate’ for the occupation.

A migrant will qualify as a new entrant if one or more of the following applies.

This is how they attracted 1 million migrants last year and we still have half a million jobs with nobody to do the work.

I seem to remember we had quite a few idiots here who were pro Brexit.

That is a one hell of a climb down of the government from their arrogant high horse thinking many foreign high skilled workers would move to the UK, so that they can be milked with high taxes. :D

It gets worse, they were thinking about giving people 3 months temporary visa so they have to leave when farming season is over. I mean how entitled one has to feel to think that all they have to do is snap their finger and they will come running.

But don't let you know who read this, he will get most upset.

Right now I can't be assed to go over the same ole Brexit arguments. The fact is it was a national referendum and the vote was to leave. There was then a 4 year period where those who disagreed fought tooth-and-nail to overturn the decision. True "democrats" to a man.

Again - I haven't looked it up (Lordo never does though! ) but don't think anybody got "kicked out". There was a system where EU people who were living and working here could continue to do so. The idea seemed to be ending the previous situation, where anybody and his family from the EU had the absolute right to just turn up. Nevertheless, it's a complex argument.

As far as "falling for all the propaganda on Ukraine goes". That's condescending.

There's always and will always be propaganda from every side in a war. All we can do is to try and make as much sense as possible to discern the wheat from the chaff.

Team Russia shout down anything they dislike that comes from the Western MSM. Although, they're not averse to using stuff which suits the approved agenda. Lordo's perhaps the perfect example. He links to BBC articles almost daily, in order to support his view. When there's one which doesn't fit it becomes the "British Bullshit Corporation". Here on Earth that's referred to as H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-S-Y.

The Western MSM though has brought down Presidents and PMs, sent members of parliament to prison for abuses. You can find many examples of how investigative journalism in the West has brought about significant and important changes. So - sorry - no. The idea that a simple "The corrupt/criminal Western MSM" in some way sweeps aside absolutely everything that comes out of it (except as previously mentioned - where it fits an agenda) is really just a way of conveniently avoiding having to confront those issues.

In fact, I would argue that the opposite is more usually the case. Team Russia will accept absolutely anything, unquestioningly, that comes from that direction. Another thread though I think.

Russian media I'm sure will be generally acknowledged for what it is - totally state controlled. Independent media - in my experience - needs careful evaluation. If it's a site with an overwhelming bias then it clearly tends to be anything but.

I'm peeing into wind I know but do the "cunts" and "fuckers" really add anything to points being made? :(

Aaaaaaaaanyway back to Swine land. Fisshy is feeling very impotent politically. He cannot do a single thing. Now he has turned hisattention to University degrees.

There they were forcing university students to take any job or their Universal Credit would be stopped and now they are being blamed for not having high paid jobs. Which means they cannot start paying their loans back.

So intend to cap certain courses so they cannot have more than certain number of students. What does this mean though really? Universities will go spiraling downwards and one by one I wonder how many will close down before they realise this mistake.

MoggSwine was asked to give one benefit of Brexit since 2021 and he did find one.

From now on the distances in the Tunnels will be in yards not meters. Wow

Perhaps our resident SwineBreshitter can tell us another benefit of Brexit so far. Fancy a Prime minister trying to stop people going to university? I guess he wants them to remain uneducated so they become fodder for his army of media to be manipulated to their hearts content like our resident Swine here.

Oh yes Brexit.

1. Did we save 350 million pounds a week for the NHS?
2. Did we get a Free Trade Deal with the EU?
3. Did our prices go down?
4. Did we get growth?
6. Did the EU have 80 million Turks knocking on the door?
7. Did we get all these extra Free Trade Deals all over the world?
8. Did we become world leader at anything other than failure?
9. Did we do the fastest vaccination because of Brexit?

Its one thing not seeing it at the time but not even in hindsight?

You're probably right Lordo. I can't think of a better argument for your going back home. Trust me - it's Paradise here. Well, apart from the current 43C stuff that is. 8) :|
