And in addition to that. Going back to human suffering, the lives of children getting cut short from famine, war, and disease.
The scripture says that Jesus is the Son of God, of the same flesh and one with God.
He put his Son or himself on earth. And his fate was already sealed.
And what a fate it was. Why did God do that. The lashings, torture and crucifixion. Jesus, it is said, knew what that fate was. And he wilfully went through with it. Because it was already prophesied and what God wanted.
It’s a fascinating story.
And thousands of people followed Jesus. Thousands were fed to lions in his name. Thousands were tortured and burned at stakes. These humans did that wilfully too. Why?
And even a mass murderer and torturer formed the early church. Why?
And how did this story conquer the world.
So there you have it. If God will do it to himself or his Son, he will do it to us as well. Because at that cosmic level, there is no death.
You see, that’s where people like Stephen Fry fail miserably.
And oh yeh, imagine saying you would accost God if you found yourself at the pearly gates. Bullshit Stephen Fry. Would you pick a fight with someone so powerful beyond any of our comprehension and understanding.
It’s like when someone asks you to pick anyone from history to have dinner with. If I had that choice, and can choose anyone, I won’t be choosing anyone other than Jesus to have dinner with. If only…
