tc claims police brutality

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

(North reached tipping point with rise of Talat and fall of Denktash). Nationalism was out, reconcilliation is in (they may not always get it right, but that hand is well and truly extended).

RoCs hand was always extended with respect to the TCs human, legal and democratic rights. RoC has never seek revenge for the 32 years of illegal occupation and was always ready to accept TCs back and help them catch up with what they missed due to the Turkish occupation.

Unfortunately Dencatsh and now Talat are trying to capitalize on the war they "won" in 1974 expecting that any solution should be nothing less than a form of partition were the GC human, legal and democratic rights would be grossly violated.

If Talat was extending a hand, it was one with a knife on it trying to stab us. We never seen any kind of respect for our rights from him.

In any case I don't blame him personally. He is nothing more than another puppet of Turkey (=Turkish army). It is well known that who controls everything in Turkey is the army. The politicians have very little power even in Turkey itself.

For any change to happen in TC politics 2 things are required:
1) To get rid of the control of the Turkish army
2) TCs to be the ones that vote, not the illegal settlers.

Until this happens (which I don't see it happening any time soon) any TC leadership will be just another puppet in the hands of the Turkish military.

Denctash was the leader for 30 years. He was the "president". Then when Turkey and the americans decided the leader became the "prime minister" Talat. Can you imagine this happening in any real non-puppet country?

Its true, some of the cypriot police like to smack people about, the nicosia cid are the worst for beating up suspects. my advice is not to have any contact with the cyprus police, if you have to go to a police station then take someone with you.
