If you walked into Mrs LR's changing room you'd probably exit with a different, somewhat less progressively liberal perception.
I’m sure I will.
Look, we are talking about young female athletes who are not shy about their bodies and their minds are broad and progressive. Mostly it is the men who make unsolicited objections on behalf of the women, just like on the abortion issues, which is mostly political rather than moral.
No it’s not! It’s a moral issue. A moral issue over a living human being inside the womb.
The issue transcends politics
If it was a moral issue, then the same people would also be against the death penalty, homelessness, world hunger, wars, and be healthcare for all.
The same people are against homelessness, world hunger, wars, etc.
Health care is a separate issue altogether that is political.
Probably not against the death penalty either as it’s only for first degree murder and only in some exceptional circumstances.
But generally, the same people are against world hunger, homelessness and wars.
Secondly, Americans are not responsible for all the wars raging all over our planet. All they can do is like every other country try and promote stability and peace. In other words, it really is out of their hands. Same with world hunger. They as a country give a lot of aid but then to put the onus of world hunger on America single handed my addressing and solving it is a bit rich. Abortion however is a social issue that effects their society and they are able to control it somewhat in order to protect the unborn. They have a moral duty to do this.
It doesn’t mean outlawing abortion. Rape victims can still abort. Women that risk their lives or health can also abort. But just not make it so easy for everyone to abort to the point it’s a frivolous decision because it’s a very serious issue.
With health care. I think it’s a noble thing America should try to pursue. But they need to regulate and overhaul their medical industry top to bottom because health care in a America is ridiculously expensive. Universal Health care would just make it more so for the self insured. So universal health care is a tough nut to rack in the American reality. It isn’t impossible, just hard. Step one would obviously be to reign in health providers because they are taking the piss over there.
Put it this way, if the UK and Australia had the same, the NHS and Medicare would be bankrupt.
