More evidence that division of Cyprus engineered by UK &

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Last time I looked Mr Mustafa Macketerry it was the Greeks getting on with their lives. From utter devastation they have managed to build up an economy as good as any for an island of 700 000. A healthcare system envied by most their neighbours an economy that requires them to be net contributes to the EEC.
In the meantime Turks have fallen even deeper into squalor. How ironic that your economy depends on Greek money. It is Turks who are paranoid. And in some respect you have a right to be. Who in Europe wants you as a neighbour? Most Europeans revile your backward Islamic Turkeman culture. It is our unfortunate that Greeks have to be the bulwark against the Mongol Horde.
The civilized west values Turks below Apes, although just above cockroarches, just.

What a nasty piece of work you are, Michael. You have a ridiculously high opinion of your meagre achievements and a totally distorted, bigoted view of your neighbours. Without the British tourist money you extort at insulting prices and the dirty 'offshore' mafia money you help launder you would still be herding goats. See Cyprus for what it is - an increasingly expensive, not particularly attractive, downmarket tourist destination on the edge of the Middle East. And most Europeans know fuck all about Turkey apart from the food they eat at local Turkish restaurants or their holidays in Antalya. So don't try endowing the average European with any strong view on Turkey to suit your sick agenda. Sad Greek nationalist racists are the only people using the words Mongol and horde and Turkeman so keep on kidding yourself until you wake up and find that the world has changed and that your giant neighbour is in the same club as you - and sitting down at the table as an equal partner of major civilized western European powers!

To the moderators of this site, I think you should be slightly more concerned from threatening to hunt down people then the odd insults.
And I quote, from Mr Abdul Mackettery
My God, you are nuts. Have you ever used Larnaca airport? That belongs to a Turkish Cypriot, you immoral scumbag. People like you should be hunted down until all TCs get their human rights. "

This is what passes as discussion from a Turk. I think the Kurds and Armenians would understand this sentiment. My high opinion of the Cyprus economy is based on objective facts. Irrespective of what you may like to think for an island of 700 000 people have done remarkably well.

Why is Turkey still so backward? Years of Turkey living off American and European handouts appear to have no affect?

On the contrary I believe that Europeans know you too well. That is why you’re held in such low esteem. Why do Gastarbeiter Turks fail to integrate? It is because you and the Europeans have cultures that are diametrically opposites.

Michael, your attempts at manipulating others' responses are weak and pathetic - only an imbecile would be taken in by your crass ways. Anyway, I'm outta here - if this is what passes for serious debate on the Cyprus issue then it's already game over. Cheerio.

Another beautiful comment.

Thanks AGAIN for proving the, "Greek Cypriot Street" view of Turks and being very honest in proving the mentallity of some of your people, good work.

You just carry on living in your little box looking at the world through a hole in fear, paranoia and xenophobia and watch your world start crashing in, (which has already started)

But why is it the Greeks are looking out with the International Community and it’s the Turks looking in? It is a Greek and a Greek Cypriot that sit at the EU Ministers table whilst your politicians look forlornly in. They even have to wait at Airport lounges to get an invitation for Poodle Straw to wait in the ante room, as your fate is being decided by the rest of the twenty five.
Your only trump card is that there are 70 million of you and happen to occupy an area that at present is of strategic importance to the USA. Not much else to show.
