LIMASSOL GENERAL HOSPITAL

Postby miltiades » Thu Oct 15, 2020 7:57 pm

Just over a month ago , for the first time I experienced a health problem, urinating blood. I attented the Hospital and underwent tests, not very pleasant, that showed a polyp in my bladder. The " service" I received was good.I was told that I needed surgery to remove the ....bastard.
I was booked in for the op on Monday last, 12th October, and the operation was performed. I was given a local anaesthetic administered in the spine. Apart from the injection I felt no pain , that is until the op was over and the anaesthetic begun to wear off......

I've had similar problems over the years Milti, if they advised you to drink plenty of water you must do so, it helps flush the bladder and stop the build up of bacteria if you get an infection. Hope you are back to normal soon, best wishes, Jerry.

I had an op at the Med on 9th (General anesthetic). I thought they'd let me go home after but I ended up spending a night there. Not too bad. I had my own room, with all mod cons (WiFi, TV, en suite). The TV was 34 channels but the only English one was BBC World News. Does that count as torture?

The main highlights were the hot babe nurses coming in regularly, with their sexy masks. "This is to make you feel better" sigh. :P

I've been struggling with pain afterwards too but it's slowly getting better. Hang in there and get well soon Milti.

Thank you for your good wishes my dear friends. I was discharged today, Thursday.15th.
My first night, Monday 12th Oct was the worst night of my life
the Catherer, a tube inserted in the penis, was relentlessly punishing me with such an excruciating pain, a feeling of being trapped as I had , apart from the Catheter, drips attached to both of my hands. Did not sleep at all and to make things worst I had diarheia!! By Tuesday morning I was exhausted, and when the doctors came around 8am I asked when this bloody Catheter would be removed. When the time comes the doctor responded. Ha d another frightfully painful evening and on Wednesday morning seeing that the blood coming out was not so dark reddish I said to the visiting doctor please remove this fucking bastard, in the meantime on two occasions i messed my self requiring a shower that was a Herculean task. I had enough, I called a nurse and, and that is the truth, with tears in my eyes, if you dont remove this fucker Im pulling it out in 10 minutes....and I meant it.....

Nurses get my highest respect for the work they do. I couldn’t do their work for any amount of money.

I came out today feeling good. Urine almost back to normal coulour, a little painful when passing but bearable. As my brother who brought me home drove at the front of the house the Hospital doctor rung me and asked that I go back tomorrow morning as he wants to talk to me.
Polyps can of course be cancerous, amI in for a ...surprise ?

Could’ve been worse… an old classmate and koumbaros of mine has polyps up his arse appearing almost every year, that he needs to have laser-removed.

Imagine all the stuff they have to insert up there to do this! :?
