The blockade of Artsakh by Azerbaijan has been ongoing for nearly eight months. Starting on December 12, 2022, the Berdzor (Lachin) Corridor, the sole road connecting Artsakh to Armenia was closed by a group of Azerbaijanis under the guise of eco-activists. As a result, 120,000 citizens of Artsakh, including 30,000 children, have been left without essential goods and services, including food, medicine and fuel. The situation became more dire on June 15, when Azerbaijan closed the lifeline road to Red Cross and Russian peacekeeping vehicles delivering humanitarian aid.

...a very good summation of the issues as they are.

(We may see Armenia no more in our lifetime: this is the threat they face; even greater there than in Cyprus.)

RW there is no war against Armenia, the was is to capture back the land Azeris lost when Armenia invaded Karabag.

Why? Because they claimed it was theirs thousands of years ago.

When will people realise that we can all live together without fighting.

I remember the days when Armenian Terror group used to explode bombs outside Turkish establishments. But here are Armenians and Turks making music.

Trabzon is as right wing as Turks get but here is Hrat Dink chatting with them.

How a socialist Armenian lived in Turkey.

...the big question is what the countries surrounding Armenia will do to demonstrate their own Humanity.

Well, considering the Armenians have shown their cards, hardly likely Iran will lift a finger to help them, Turkey is in similar situation, not sure if they even recognise each other, for years they did not. In the north they have Georgia which has it's own problems with Russia so they are hardly going to seem friendly. What is more interesting question is the fact that Russia has a base there, so what would happen if they ask Russia to leave. Bringing in American soldier into Armenia to play war games is not going to help them, it will annoy the Russians even more.

In hindsight it was wrong to attack and take Karabag from Azerbaijan when they were weak because the country being so much bigger, sooner or later will take back their land.

My only wish is when the Armenians lay down their arms they are allowed to stay in their homes and live their lives like the rest of the Azeris. Azerbaijan is far wealthier now than Armenia will ever be and they will benefit far more by staying if allowed than returning to impoverished Armenia as refugees. I guess the next stop is France as Armenians are friends with France.

In order to get on in life, we have to be mature enough to not let our emotion take over our heads and invite disaster. Not that different to what happened in Cyprus back in 1960 with the continuation of Enosis policy.

Remember
