For Turkey, calling a Rose Rose by another name, is not a Rose! Perhaps because the word “Genocide” was coined after WWII, so somehow they do not see it as fitting to the WWI events with the Armenians, but Turkey today is a formation (bastardized) of different cultures who were forced to convert through different forms of “Genocides” throughout the span of the Ottoman Empire and earlier with the Turkic people moving across Asia from Mongolia. I doubt many Turks in Turkey today would even admit to that.

There is a world of difference with what the Yanks did to the 36 million Native Americans, the Germans to the 6 million Jews where they deliberately killed them through starvation poisonong and gas chambers. The Ottomans drove them from their homes and must have also killed thousands but they did not kill all of them they left them to the mercy of the elements and the gangs who killed and robbed them.
What is most annoying is the fact that Biden has chosen this time to say what he said as the talks are begining. You can imagine the Turks beeing very friendly at the talks now right?
Were you guys aware that before all this an Armenian assasinated Talat Pasha?

I don’t think the timing by Biden has anything to do with the informal talks on Cyprus. It has everything to do with Erdogan constantly accusing the USA for harboring terrorist (Gülen) and also supporting terrorist organization (YPG) in Syria. Erdogan’s arrogance has finally caught up with him from Obama years when he was in office. Biden timed it to really stick it hard with a phone call on the day Turkey celebrated victory in Gallipoli. I mean, Erdogan has been waiting for Biden’s call for months and then receive one with bad news. It indicates to Erdogan that he is not very significant.

I did not mean that there was, just that it fuckin feels like it. Wait till the talks end and say what ever he likes.
Here is Hrant Dink describing how they were informed that they had to move. Far cry from what Nazis did to Jewish people. Section between 6 and 8 minutes decsribes the moment they recieved the message that they had to move. Sound is not clear but this man is an important human being. It is worth listening to.

Dink was born 40 years after the events of WWI where many Armenians met their deaths while being expelled from “Turkey”, therefore he does not have first hand experience, and he being an Armenian himself living in Turkey before he was assassinated in 2007, was he really able to tell it the way it was for the Armenians in WWI, or perhaps even what he said was too much for the deep state to have him killed.

Perhaps his gandad told tim or his father. Of course it is not the same as if he was there but look at these young fascist GCs treat the people here who lived the Cyprus problem. As to would he tell the truth, listen to him critisizing the establishment of his own experience because he was not only Armenian but also a socialist too and at Trabzon which is known for their right wing fanaticism. So clearly he says it how he heard it without fear which is why he was murdered. But some assholes here would call him a marxist and ignore what he said. I am not suggesting you said that, just some assholes here which shall remain nameless.
The important thing is how they were informed that they were evacuating their village.
