NASA, the annual multi-billion dollar consuming monstrosity that supposedly employs the brightest among us to “explore space”, has since the 70s been hell-bent on contacting extraterrestrials!

Realizing that Man’s chance of ever traversing the universe was NIL, they decided to lure aliens with the issuing and propagation of a “map” to serve as directions to planet Earth in the hope that aliens will come to find us!

How clever! Are they serious about wanting an alien life-form capable of traversing the galaxies, to come and find us? Whatever for? Ever heard of curiosity killed the cat?

You’d be forgiven for thinking that NASA must be bloody suicidal but worry not because mankind’s sheer stupidity and incompetence comes to the rescue for...

Believe it or not this is the image that NASA is relaying to “aliens” so that they may come to find us:

Now, if you were an alien and saw this image what would you make of it?

Oh and what happened to the “third gender”? This map is NOT politically correct!

Anyway, all I can say is thank God this “map” is so childishly stupid ensuring that aliens can never find us!

So what does the image mean? I guess there is an explanation somewhere, but I wonder if everything can be explained without searching about it. The man and the woman is obvious, then that thing behind must be Voyager, which also appears at the map bellow, which shows the solar system. Those ||--|| signs must indicate distance, but what is that orange thing on the top left? And what do the white lines that cross each other represent?

Having read the explanation I can now tell you what they mean Sotos, but do take note that nobody understands it without an explanation let alone aliens, and that’s one of the things that makes it funny!

OK so here goes from what I remember...

The top orange-brown thing means that the scale of the things in the image is 1:1

We would’ve never guessed in a million years that it was a scale indicator let alone aliens!

The funny shaped thing behind the people is indeed one of our “crafts” but I don’t recall which one, and I have no idea how including it in the image would help aliens find us! I’d say it would confuse them more…

The star-shaped lines are meant to be the directions of six polar stars that align on planet Earth in the way indicated, but how the hell are aliens supposed to know which of the billions of stars we are referring to?

And the stupid little shapes at the bottom... I have no idea!

Overall it’s just so stupid…

The craft is The Voyager. Other payload includes some Music (Elvis Presley), photos, video, and a constant transmission signal. Or something to that effect.

This diagram may make sense if an intelligent extraterrestrial comes across this information in our own Solar system to figure out which planet we are at, but once this information is discovered in the far future in far distance from our Solar system, the extraterrestrials would need to be super intelligent to figure out where we are for them to come and find us, and only if they are able to travel at super speeds close to the speed of light.

Our nearest star away from our own solar system is about 4 light years away. For the voyager to reach that far distance star at the speed is traveling, it would take about 73,000 years to reach it.

There lies the problem, even if we are not alone in the universe.

The extraterrestrials already know where we are because we have so many UFO sightings at the Woomera Rocket Range and Area 51.
