I doubt it. None of you know how the legal system works.
I do, and I have my lawyers for different things in case things happen and they have in the past. It’s one thing to file, but remember, the guy with the cash is always able to buy himself out through a settlement.
The other option is to bog the other party down until they can only afford cat food.
It seems to me, these law suits are civil and chasing money of which Trump has plenty.
I have seen this all before myself as I was a victim of a law suit. Lasted 6 months and I settled by paying the other party out.
So that was a lesson. I keep these lawyers very close on hand as I have had another 2 matters they had to resolve after that. Those 2 matters they won for me.
Usually, legal matters are not something you advertise on Facebook. The last matter I won, my lawyers (I had 3), one of which was a QC, never hit the other side till the last second. We string them along for a while. But we had risks to be careful of and they played their card well but they got hit hard in court and then were seeking to settle.
I can tell you it’s pretty stressful. But Trump is not the type to get stressed over these things because he can’t lose.
Paying someone out is a perfectly legal move. It’s called “making amends” to compensate the loss. Oh but you are accusing him of using campaign money. It’s still not an issue really, especially if you are worth 3000 million. Unless of course one of Trumps benefactors comes out and says they donated to cover campaign legal as the accusations came out then. That changes things too.
But he has a golden parachute. Just with a stroke of a pen, all these problems can disappear. It depends on his legal teams strategy, what evidence they have and also how they are funding themselves.
My point is, don’t hold your breath.
Even if the accusations are tax fraud. There is little chance it can be proven and zero chance Trump will admit it. So worst case scenario is a fine and 16% interest till it’s paid. Seen that too. A few years ago, I was audited by the tax office. They made all kinds of accusations. I paid a 16k fine.
Then I changed my accountant because my accountant then fucked up.
Trump of course is in a very special league. He has had something like 3000 law suits over the last 50 years.
So good luck! You gonna need it.
