Terrible event in the assassination attempt of Trump at a rally. It appears to be attempted by a 20 year old skilled marksman from long distance with a powerful weapon attempting a headshot. Trump was lucky to survive with only a ear nicked by a bullet. 3 others at the event not so lucky. One dead and two others seriously wounded.

All this started eight years ago with Trump supporters being harassed and accosted and it has culminated in an assassination attempt on the presidential candidate.

Whoever turned a blind eye and excused the violence of the democratic party for all this time should take this moment to introspect on what kind of country you really want to live in. Do you really want a civil war with your compatriots because they don't agree to mass immigration? Because they want law and order? because they don't agree with turning boys in to girls? Where political violence and anarchy is acceptable?

I don’t think a 20 year old assassin wannabe has lived long enough to form any kind of hate towards one political party leader or another through their personal experiences towards that leader. Unfortunately, they can be influenced negatively by other grownup's on TV and social media. There is a huge political divide in America because of the way their political system is set up, which a popular vote in a presidential election can come second to a candidate who has won the electoral vote. This is where American democracy fails, especially when illegitimate people are deliberately allowed to vote.

I don't think he can be called a skilled marksman if he missed his target and killed and injured others. He must have fired at least 4 shots one of which got Tramp in the ear. There were reports it was not bullet but a piece of glass that hit Tramp.

I disagree with you on the skilled marksmanship of the shooter, given the fact he was on a rooftop exposed being seen and most likely without all the eqiptment to be a 100% successful in his attempt to assasinate Trump. Trump’s own security skilled marksman had everything he needed to take out the would be assassin immediately. Piercing Trumps right ear from about 400ft, an inch away from hitting his skull on a windy day, was a good shot, regardless the bullets misssing Trump striking others. What saved Trump was the fact he was almost facing the direction where the bullies came from because of his posture leaning on the podium sideways. Had he been standing straight and facing the front, he would have been hit broadside to the head to the right side. Trump must have heard the first bullet fly past his head and reacted slightly before his right ear being nicked with the next bullet and then getting down on his own before the secret service agents came to protect him.
