Yes we are fully aware that the rich have become richer but that is everywhere. And Trump did reduce the company tax rate from 35% down to 22%

A necessity in order to remain competitive internationally otherwise US Companies go offshore which is a massive problem.

The same thing is happening in Australia. The Australian Government plans to reduce the company tax rate to 26% from 30%. Eventually, they want to reduce it down to 22% as well.

What that means is that there is more investment and profits for business, who in turn employ more people. that's more people on the pay roll, who pay income tax. So the end result for the Government is a net zero or close to. But more people in work, and less people on social welfare.

That is one of the factors that have resulted in 17 million Americans gaining employment and even getting lifted from below the poverty line.

A lot of people (usually the left) say that big business tax rates should be increased. But that is often quite counterproductive.

All countries have lobbyists. Some more than others, Turkey, in the past has been active in that space. And we all know about the Israelis who are probably the best.

Australia does it too. but what happens is they have an organisation in the States, or a firm they send millions of dollars to, which fund political campaigns and host US Politicians and Senators to serve their needs. I know Australia is quite advance at that game as well, and funds these types of things very well.

It isn't illegal, and none of the money goes into private pockets. But it's possible that they send "gifts"
