Donald Trump on Friday considered bringing in the military to overturn his key swing state defeats to president-elect, Joe Biden, it has been reported.

White House insiders allegedly said Mr Trump discussed imposing martial law in a move aimed overturning the result of the 2020 election.

It reportedly came after Michael Flynn, the president's first national security adviser, floated the idea in an interview with the right-wing news outlet, Newsmax last week.

Flynn, recently pardoned by Mr Trump after his Russia investigation conviction, told Newsmax martial law was not "unprecedented" as he laid out his case for military involvement in the democratic process.

During Friday's White House meeting, at which Flynn was present, Mr Trump asked aides how martial law works, sources told the New York Times.

According to the NYT report, Mr Trump also suggested naming Sidney Powell, a lawyer and ally who has pushed his false election claims, as a special counsel overseeing alleged voter fraud at the election.

It seems to me though, obfuscation is when you ask a relatively simple question, satisfied fundmentally by "Yes"or "No" and the response is reams of irrelevance, none of which answer the simple query. It's generally used to cover up somebody having to acknowledge a ................. "yes, fair point" situation. You will struggle really hard to find any of those on any chat forum.

When we talk about the swamp we refer to the political establishment and bureaucrats.

Flynn was a soldier first and foremost who served his country for 20 odd years. Trump favoured people like him much like when he initially appointed buys like mad dog Maddis.

Flynn did not commit a crime other than at one point hold a meeting with the Russian Ambassador in Washington which the Democrats used as “evidence” for collusion with Russia. His problem arose when he later admitted losing about the meeting thus committing perjury.

He is a prime candidate for a pardon given his history serving his country. He is hardly the crim. on the contrary, more a victim of the circumstances.

America can do much worse than have individuals like him.

Take what from Turkey and for what purpose. he isn't under any investigation or been convicted for any such thing.

Who else? Well there is a developing situation and an actual investigation regarding Hunter Biden and his Dad regarding payments from a Ukrainian Oil Billionaire for access to Biden. That is a developing situation. It started well before the election but the MSM were ignoring it and so was big tech but post election it is now being picked up by the MSM who prior would call it fake news and a conspiracy.
