He’ll have the base.

Trump is extremely popular and he is more popular right now than at election time. If another election were to take place, Biden’s gone.

The only way the Democrats can defeat Trump is by having a stellar 4 years and stead away from the old politics of Obama, Bush and co. I doubt that’s possible.[ /quote]

Hic! Pissed again. I told you many times to quote properly. It’s hugely embarrassing when your rants are associated with my name.

Yes here is a fact for you. Trump is popular. Hugely popular. And he is about to become more popular if Biden turns out to be a lame duck. He has been one for 47 years so shouldn’t be any different now.

Plus, that TV network he will open should attract good market share.

I dont think you realize that everyone on this forum considers you as an ....idiot , just as they, the members consider Trump an idiot. The fact that you have let it be known that you are a multi millionaire , must have surely made many wonder how can an airline steward can be a millionaire. A lot of people will be upset and it won’t have anything to do about her skin colour or gender. This is 2021 and America is probably one of the most liberal countries in the world. Skin colour, gender, race, religion have no bearing. Americans will give anyone a go.

Those types of attitudes are more prevalent in Cyprus as it isn’t as liberal as US by any stretch. I doubt I will ever see a female Cypriot President in my lifetime. Now compare Cyprus with the UK who had Thatcher in the 80s. Well actually, I reckon she had balls. Bigger ones than many men!

I suspect, the reason that most people will find annoying about Camela is the fact she wasn’t elected as POTUS, and she is quite insufferable in terms of her holier than thou extreme socialist policies and that voice where she talks to the people like they are 5 years old.

Plus she has a reputation to have slept her way through most US Senators and Congressmen to get where she is today.

America is plagued with institutional racism the isn't witnessed in other countries, so much so that affirmative action swings minorities into places of power but still doesn't recover any quality of life for the lower classes. In fact affirmative action helps these right wing nuts to grab onto the momentum of a swinging pendulum because someone of colour was elected into office.

Having female leaders is not the sign of a progressive society as you can see from Turkey, Pakistan and India who have all had female leaders.

I'm also surprised you don't stop yourself while discussing your progressiveness when you fund yourself discussing her looks, how she slept her way to the top and her shrieking voice. These wouldn't have been in your vocabulary when discussing a male politician. Its time you evolved away from this backwater Australian culture Paphitis and recognise women for the people they are.

Nonsense.

It’s no different to Australia. Certainly no institutional racism.

Maybe isolated pockets of it and in smaller communities especially.

Affirmative action is a Democrat policy. GOP is far more merit based. It’s anti quotas.

Basically, affirmative action is racism.

Democrats want a female POTUS for the sake of it. A tick in the box. The token female.

GOP supporters will put a female in when they find the right one with the right stuff and drive to be a go getter like Condaleeza Rice was.

I've met Condi, terrific woman. Shame the GOP went with Sarah Palin though

Sarah Palun is just an Alaskan Senator. I think there is a good place for her since she has Christian ideals and morals and right now there is a push for full term terminations which for me is no different to manslaughter.

So Palin is good. Stands up for these types of social issues very well.

Condaleeza is a different kettle of fish. She in my view was clearly competent enough to be a future POTUS. She should have pursued it. She would have been terrific.

My friend...I think you got it all wrong. Someone who stands up for their beliefs and convictions is no idiot.

The idiot is you and you alone who rants like a silly fool and takes everything personally.

You are a pissed old fart and I think it’s time for your afternoon nap with your cats.

I look at the leader, what they stand for and their convictions always.

If Labor but in someone I see as more fit, then I vote Labor. It’s as simple as that.

Between Biden and Trump I saw and still see Trump as a far superior leader. I liked many of his policies and saw passion, drive, and patriotism. String on crime, an anti globalist, and he wore the heart on his sleeve.

Definitely not a politician. More of a corporate bulldog. If he doesn’t like you, then you will know it.

Someone willing to stand against Chy-na as well.

He has my full support to the end and I’m thinking he is coming back. This guy will not lose because he is a fighter.

There is no question in my mind that Trump is far more intelligent as well.

More shit. Look stupid , standing for your " convictions" doesn't make one wise. Hitler and Mussolini also stood for their convictions. The Nazis also had convictions so do murderers and perpetual criminals. What you are doing is standing by your STUPIDIT

Are you calling yourself wise?

Don’t make me laugh Milti.

You are an old senile fool who has literally no clue about anything. As an accountant, you claim to be, saying things like debt isn’t wise or a good idea is nothing short of absolute nonsense. As an accountant, you should know your job but you know nothing. Can’t even get the basics right.

Debt is only bad for those who can’t service or the risk averse. That might be you and no problem if it is. lots of people are risk averse. The majority in fact, so you are not alone. But you are definitely not wise or smart or a good accountant.

You make stupid polls.

The next poll you will make is something like:

1) do you agree with Paphitis that debt is good?

The vast majority of people will agree with you. You will call me stupid.

But a stupid person isn’t one who makes close to a million in a financial year after tax. And that’s a bad year with massive legal issues and getting ripped. Got it?

Yes I’m a pilot. Something that is easily verifiable too.

My pilot income my prrsonsl income. I’ve been developing for years. Since my teenage years with my Dad. My first one, my Dad put down the deposits and had to offer me Bank guarantees. I bought a house (a project) for $380,000 in 1991 plus stamp. 431k in total.

Put down 100K as deposit. Or rather my Dad did and was owing about 340k with the lending costs.

It was scary to say the least. My Dad had me on the tools doing basic stuff with him. We had it extended and fully renovated over a 14 month period.

When I sold it 2 years later it was owing me about 750K with a 650K debt to the Bank. It was all under a company set up for me by my Dad’s accountant who was Greek.

I sold the property. By that time was owing my Dad well over 100k as he was servicing. So the profit on that was 200k after interests, expenses and tax. Went to pay my Dad as the loans were to a company I was Director of. He refused. Wouldn’t take the money.

So he said, “you want to do this again”? I said yeh. Again and again I said.

At this point, I’m at the stage where all I need to do is make sure I have my stick. Everything is taken care of by a builder who is actually my Koumbaro. Depends what I have time for. Everything is done professionally from start to finish. I can do my stuff and save money if I want to but I don’t have to.

I am Koumbaros best customer because I’m ongoing. And many times he doesn’t charge me the 15% supervisory fees because they end up being display homes for his business before I sell.

I’m no builder but I could have been and probably still could get signed off if I complete all the modules.

The second want I did was a more expensive house slightly and I still needed oversight from my Dad because Banks were involved again. Banks can be a pain in the ass as well as they take security over the property. Abd because we were classified owner builders they would put their own independent builder inspectors to inspect every stage before they paid out the money.

Today, we have our gangs. Everyone we use are well known to us for the expertise, quality and workmanship. And no corners are cut either.

In Australia Milti, when our parents came to this wonderful country you had pretty much 2 choices.

You work in the factories, or you work for yourself.

No way in the world our parents could score a great job.

So what did the Greeks and Italians do. Done worked making cars. Others opened fish and chips shops, cafes, pizza bars, and so on.

We ended up being wealthier than the average Aussie working in offices or in the corporate world but we were smart. They all stuck to gather in those days. If we wanted a service, we would get a Greek. If there was no Greek, we would get an Italian. The Italians were the same as us.

And no one would rip anyone off. The second and third generation has changed from that old school though but it’s not survival like it once was.
