A lot of people are getting tired of UEFA’s handling of everything including the mediocre payouts to clubs while they reap all the rewards without even playing!

As a spectator, my personal gripe with UEFA is that they haven’t done anything to stamp out bad refereeing, with refs continuing to be allowed to enforce their own personalities on the pitch instead of everyone applying the same rules.

I’ve lost count how many times the ref’s personality and ego determined the outcome of a match

For example, in some matches it seems that fouls are permitted and in others they are not… penalties are easily awarded or none at all… and so forth… there’s a complete lack of uniformity in enforcing the game's rules and teams often find themselves checking to see who is going to ref a match before making decisions on the lineup!

That alone tells you how much power individual refs have... :?

I do not have the patience or the tolerance to sit and watch any football/soccer game on TV for 90 minutes as it is often frustrating how many bad players are on the field, their superficial injuries to draw a penalty and useless VAR rulings where it is measured to the millimeter whether if it was an off-side or not, which a human eye of the line referee can not detect, is allowed to rule out great goals. I don’t mind if the VAR over rules a complete fuck-up by the linesman, but not if the ruling because the player’s nose is off side. Give me a fucking break. My only tolerance in watching football for the last 20 years is to watch the highlights on “Match of the Day”.

If the ESL is going to improve the game with high skilled players as more teams will join the club dependent on the supply of talented players, the game will become more exciting to watch.

That’s because your team is shit Kiks. Be that as it may there is a lot of words being said about this super league thingy which is complete bollox.

They are not withdrawing from the respective Football Associations or their International duty. They are simply entering in a competition where FA or FIFA can dip their filthy little fingers in and steal the cream. And of course, they use the club players at about 10k per game when the clubs pay the rest of their wages which could be up to 500k a week.

As to not allowing the players involved to take part in international games is like FIFA playing Russian roulette all on their own threatening to blow their heads off unless the whole idea is withdrawn.

There was a really cute lineswoman in the Leicester v Southampton FA cup match last night. I think I'd have spent half the game kicking the ball offside. :P

Actually, I do not support any soccer teams. Growing up in London, I did support Chelsea in the 70’s. :P

I don't really think you have grasped this football thingy lark. The players have 20 girls like that at the end of each game begging for it. Christ you are showing your age. How old are you 13?

In the 70s Chelsea was the most racist team in UK and their supporters were also the most racist supporters too. They were the last team that did not have a black player. How the hell did you like them? It's not as if they were winning anything at the time.

My first game I watched was Arsenal against Chelsea and it ended 1-1. But in them days Arsenal used to wear their shirts backwards so it looked as though they were attacking. Good old George Graham, he knew how to win 1-0 and if not 1-1 draw.

If it’s the same one Sergio Agüero of Manchester City put his arm around her shoulder during the game few months ago, she is cute.

As long as a ref is consistent. If they permit fouls in a game, then they should permit them for both teams. If they don't, then it should apply to both teams equally. Therefore, you get a fair result.

Problem is when they don't permit them for one team and permit them for the other.

You need to understand that the 60 minutes of NFL game lasts 3 hours by design, and yes, commercials are one factor as it brings in revenue, but it is also because it is a very strategic game, much like playing chess where every play is a designed play which they have several combinations based on which down is being played, what the score is and how much time there’s left on the clock. Most importantly, it is an entertainment sport for the fans as ALL American sports are where they have lots of time to have a tailgate parties in the parking lot before the game and be able to leave your seat and go to the head, buy food and drinks and bask in the sun whenever possible.

The home team fans and the visiting fans ALL seat as a mix and never separated or caged like the soccer fans are around the world, except in the USA. American sports with it’s designed “time-out” makes it a great entertainment for the fans at the game and for those watching it at the bars, clubs or at home as the next designed play is awaited by the fans with great anticipation. You won’t find better athletes than those who play in all of the American sports, especially in the NFL, NBA and NHL? They only play 16 games a year in the NFL (soon to be 17) , 8 home and 8 away, but they play very hard, about one game a week, plus preseason exhibition games (no points are earned) and all the knockout games to reach Super Bowl which takes almost 9 months for the start to finish season.

Yep. They are real athletes.

Sport is very organized over there at all levels.

I'm loving their NBA actually. Best in the world.
