Yes.
Having been poisoned in a Siberian air terminal, falling ill on the plane back to Moscow, (all play acting apparently) he was kept there for a few days (just to give the Novichok a chance to finish the job?). In the light of widespread media coverage and international outrage the “authorities” allowed him to be air ambulanced to Germany for treatment. There he was in a coma, ICU, then rehabilitation. This is splashed over front pages worldwide.
After recovering he has the guts to return to Moscow where he’s arrested upon arrival and put on trial. His crime? Not telling the “authorities” where he was,
in accordance with the terms of his probation (for a trumped up money laundering charge, designed to keep him from contesting the election).
Welcome to the “theatrical” world of a real opposition politician in Vladimir Putin’s Russia.
The last time there was civil unrest in Russia Putin did what all dictators tend to under such circumstances. He looked abroad for a unifying cause. Then it was Crimea. Russia made great again. If the protests continue and escalate.................?
