Oh you humanitarian you!

I used to work with a woman who was addicted to cheesy wotsits and her skin was orange. Honest, she was so full of whatever the additive is it changed her skin tone. She'd been tangoed! She did eat about ten bags a day though.

You also cant get monster munch here which is a bit poo, I love the flaming hot ones.

Mmmm all this snack chat has made me peckish - guess I'll have to settle for Lays C+O. :?

I worked with a fella who was addicted to Polos. All his teeth fell out. Honest.

Good job i love hummus i spose. Plenty of carrot sticks and celery. Slightly better for you than Wotsits and Monster Munch (I prefer the pickled onion).

Yeah pickled onion are nice but for a bit of variety the hot ones would be my no.1 choice.
You get used to not having the snacks you used to, I dont miss them that much. I just eat loads whenever I go back then Im sick of them til the next time. Or I bring them back with me and have an emergency stash - which at the mo is giant chocolate buttons and a toffee crisp - saved for the days when I just cant cope with the world. There's nothing like chocky buttons to restore ones equilibrium...heehee.

What about Smarties? They can't help but bring out the kid in you. Although i do know severall girls who swear by cadbury's choccy buttons as the No1 comfort food. Funny that.
I ain't had a toffee crisp in yonks...I prefer a whisper or maybe a starbar myself.

Actually it's good to know that snack foods are less prevallent over there. Might give me a head start for my healthier lifestyle.

Dont panic - smarties are readily available.

Cant be just chocky buttons - only the giant ones.
Toffee crisps not available - hence the emergency one I have in the fridge.Though I hope I didnt do what I did with the last one... Forgot all about it and it was way out of date when I remembered.

You may cast off your chocky demon but you'll pick up a new one - I love kebabs(both gyros and souvlaki) and thats now my downfall. Well, it does have salad in so I am trying to be healthy!

mmmmmm kebab. I like the ones they make with the chichen on a skewer best. With plenty of salad.
I love going for a Mezze in our local Greek restaurant. A very rare treat though.

Well you'll be spoilt for choice for meze's once you move over!

In my humble - and Im sure someone will correct me - the best kebab shop ever is in Limassol, near to fatmans bakery. Its fab! Have to have one whenever I go to Limassol.

Souvlaki is the meat on a skewer and a gyro is the equivalent of a donner and depending where you go, its a meal on its own. I try to limit myself to 3 a week but sometimes Im naughty and have more - never get bored of them.

Get yourself a cypriot cookery book - or better still a Cypriot neighbour who is willing to show you- and learn how to make things yourself. I have a go and add extras that I like, after all cooking isnt supposed to be exact, you alter it according to your taste buds but I doubt I'll master some things.

I'd better shut up about food now or I'll be hungry again.

Still dont see the attraction in twiglets, pork scratchings etc though..
