I expected a direct answer to my question, from you. Does this mean that if the opportunity presented itself to stand under the Flag of Cyprus in the occupied territories, you would not take it?
...if it were true, what you say, the occupied territories would have been "Turkified" long ago; they are not. You forget that Akinci was elected against Eroglu; that a majority of electors chose Cypriot unity over "Turkishness", then.
In fact, they have been divided themselves, as we have been divided; those "Turkish", the "others". Despite all efforts at usurping their identity, they persist because they have one.
What makes you think that those voters do not need your help as Cypriots, now?
Its my point of view, not a "Greek" point of view even if some Greeks have the same point of view.
I support the republic of Cyprus.
The occupied areas are Turkified, and Akinci is no different from his predecessors.
I think he is the biggest deceiver of them all though, because he "is a nice guy", so I hear but his demands are the same as Eroglu's.
Maybe worse, he has given nearly half of Cyprus EEZ to Turkey, while he claims the rest for the "TRNC", but the ridiculous thing is, Turkey isnt searching in the "TRNC's" EEZ for the TC's share of the gas, they are searching in what they claim is theirs....Akinci is an over rated plonker, that wants to keep what Turkey stole and share the rest equally.
The problem is insurmountable with such interlocutors. History shows it.
