Everything seems to be going Greece’s way these days. The geopolitical pendulum is swinging in Greece’s favour.

When Turkey announced it was going to start drilling within the Greek EEZ, Trump dispatches the USS Dwight D Eisenhower Aircraft Cartier and 12 warships to escort it. The US Fleet was joined by Greek Warships which announced Naval Exercises as Turkish warships were enroute to the drilling area.

Turkey and Erdogan shat their undies so much, all the Turkish Ships returned to port and Sultan Erdowan, called the Greek Action an over reaction and that Turkey is happy to have a dialogue.

Haha you criminal Turks! Eat shit and choke on it! :D

The quicker your shot hole is blown to smithereens, the better!

Im so disappointed in Erdowan! He’s a superpower isn’t he?

Why is he afraid of the Eisenhower? Should be a walk in for Turks...

What’s the matter Erdowan? Descendants of Ghengis Khan!

All you have to do is take them by surprise on Netflix Movie Night. :D

I think Merkel had something to do with it when she mediated with him and the Greek PM a few days ago.

She basically told him in not these exact words. The Greeks are not Joking about defending their maritime space. If you take your ships to Greece's EEZ, they will blow them to smithereens. If you continue with challenging Europe and the sovereign rights of member states, you will also have a big problem with the whole of Europe as well. The consequences are going to be severe.

So that legally invalid fake agreement with Libya is fizzling out. What is the point in interfering and fighting in Libya? Turkey is trying to bite off more than it can chew.

Seriously, though,

This whole debacle is a lose-lose for Turkey when it can be a win-win for everyone.

BUT, we are talking about Turkey here. She doesn't bring anything to the table other than being a transiting country for gas from Israeli and Cypriot fields. They cant do anything else.

Who trust them for that even anyway?

Yes I’m aware Merkel had something to do with it - probably because of the US putting the pressure on.

The joint US/Greek Naval exercises would not be a coincidence either. The Americans would have been informed that Greece would blow the criminal Turks out of the water, so probably felt the heed to send a carrier to the area as a deterrent to Turkey.

I hope Greece has learned its lesson. You can’t expect ANY dialogue with a criminal rogue state like Turkey. The only language the Turks know and understand is gunboat diplomacy. But you have to mean it and be real and not back down because if the Turks know or believe Greece is bluffing, they will take the piss. Give them an inch, they will take a mile.

If you are prepared to go all the way, which includes military action, they run away line the wimpy idiots they are.

Yeah,

I hope the EU is learning its lesson.

They have given this dictator a wide birth to be belligerent and now its all coming to a head.

Turkey as an EU member state? not in this world.

More chances of becoming a calipHATE than a civilized nation.

Turkey is like a car rolling downhill towards a cliff face without any breaks.

Turkey might be receiving it's second batch of s400 missiles from Russia. The Russians have signalled that they are ready to make another delivery.

The US congress passed a law to implement sanctions for the last batch but trump hasn't enacted it yet. But there is a clause to pressure trump to enact the law within 30 days. The bipartisan bill was passed last week.

Now congress are getting frustrated and they are pressuring him to destroy Turkeys economy already.

Errorgan is so fckd, in the space of a week he has the EU, US and Egypt lined up to kick his ass.

...will he be able to make a domestic missile system that is an equal to an S-400?

...why does Erdogan have no Patriots (or their Chinese equivalents)?

...and yet, a few years ago already, it was China that helped Erdogan turn off the "Friendly Fire" systems on his (NATO) jets.

...he has set himself up to betray, someone; in any case.

Turkey has issued another NAVTEX to prospect for gas in Cyprus's EEZ.

After backing down from going in to Greece's EEZ, they are back to feeling like a super power again with a country 80 times less its size.

How pathetic,

Now the Turkish Lira has made an all time low against the Euro due to the possibility of sanctions, rising foreign currency debt and depleted foreign exchange reserves.

The incompetent fools running the economy spent another $60 billion so far this year trying to prop up their worthless currency. $2 billion spent this week alone.

To fund the intervention, the central bank has relied on borrowing foreign currency savings held by Turkish depositors at domestic banks. They are blowing through their citizens money now.

The country is "walking on thin ice and the situation is truly worrisome"

What a corrupt regime. Its going to be a disaster.

Errorgans end could be just around the corner, along with wide scale poverty as the economy is on the verge of total collapse.

At least he can kneel in the Ayia Sophia before the Lord Jesus Christ and try to feed 5000 with five loathes and two fishes. But I dont think that is going to save him.

I have a feeling someone is fucking with Turkey by giving them deliberately leaked erroneous information drill sites around Cyprus with a promised bonanza, but so far there's nothing there to be found, but making Turkey spent shit loads of money daily drilling for nothing for the past couple of years now.

Egypt has deployed troops to Syria's Idlib, in co-ordination with Iran.

As tensions escalate with Turkey in LIbya, Egypt is positioning herself to take the fight to them closer to home.

Looks like Egypt wants to push Turkey out of Syria and get right on her doorstep.

I bet Errorgan wasn't expecting or calculating for that.

Word on the street is that more Egyptian troops are going to be pouring in.
