Turkey is bankrupt

Postby Maximus » Tue Apr 21, 2020 10:13 pm

Turkey is on the verge of bankruptcy,

How she manages to put fuel in jets and ships to violate Greece's airspace and Cyprus's EEZ is beyond me.

The Lira is 3 cents away from all time lows against the US dollar and the IMF is knocking on her door.

Covid-19 is taking a further toll on business which is accelerating bankruptcies.

Mafia bosses and rapists are being pardoned but journalists and political opposition figures are left to rot in Turkish jail.

At least the soup kitchens are flourishing

Dogogan is only allowing access to loyalists or those who will vote for his party.

only government linked charities are allowed.

But the opposition parties are requesting that they be probed because large sums of proceeds have gone missing.

They have to pay the terrorists wages in Syria and Libya some how....

Maximus, you’ve come here with guns blazing but not a supporting link in sight!

What are readers supposed to do with your thread/story... just take your word for it?

And it’s not like we haven’t heard this story before… :?

As for putting fuel in jets and the like my understanding is that some oil producers have been paying people to take the oil away recently.

As for 'yeah see I told you so' - if you had told me that oil would hit negative price two months ago I would be more impressed. Is Turkey in a fucked economic position. Absolutely. Is much of the world as well ? yeah it is. Is it worse in Turkey because of the things you were talking about pre virus. Yeah undoubtedly but also for other reasons that also affect other countries like dependence on tourism, something that is going to be very painful for Cyprus as well. What I actually did two months ago was compare you claims about Turkey's foreign exchange reserves with graphs of data on the subject and questioned your analysis, which as GR points out has been heard many times before, going back decades. In light of that data I did question how much your analysis was based on wishful thinking as dispassionate analysis.

In these unusual times, when almost everyone in Turkey is hurting financially, the AKP must find a way out of the corner it has put the country into, even though it may conflict with its own blueprint for political survival.

It seems that the IMF is the only option left.

I didnt tell you that oil would be trading this low a couple of months ago.

What I did tell you is that the Lira would be making an all time low within three months.

That was when the exchange rate was nearly a whole Turkish lira higher than it is now.

You wasnt impressed with that then, and probably not now either....

I said the Turkish economy is fckd and is going to be fckd within 3 months. You said it wasnt but well, it is........

You ain’t got much there Maximus.

As one of arch-criminal America’s henchmen, Turkey need only cry a little over the phone to god-pimp Trump to secure a few billion dollars in non-returnable handouts... and America has an array of colorful ways of legalizing the abuse of US citizen’s tax money, when it comes to lining the pockets of its criminal fold.

But don’t get me wrong Maximus, I’d be the first to celebrate if Turkey were to go down but over the decades I’ve connected the dots of this criminal empire… and know only too well that unless America goes down Turkey won’t be following... unfortunately.
