Turkey, the great success story (no more).

...an informative video with many graphs to demonstrate the observations it makes on "erdoganonomics".

...i will say it again. The answer lies with Turkish Cypriots to set an example that demonstrate above the notion of a Nation lies a State, a vanguard which reminds us that beyond the representation as Persons remain the responsibility we have as Individuals to the notion of the Universal Principles which make us, as Humans, equal. Indeed, a BBF, where Greek and Turkish Cypriots join as one defies this/these dogma, "Greekness" and "Turkishness", and what they bring. (With "Greekness" defeated), as in Turkey a little more than half hope, those Turkish but not "Turkish", for "Turkishness" as it is defined to be defeated, for an example that they may emulate; toward what is a common foe: such Individuals as Cypriots exist, and as Persons too/they exist (read: thrive), the same hope which drives an opposition to Erdogan in Turkey too, of unity what are as Nations quite distinct, yet as the People one.

...frankly, i wish Erdogan well. Should he succeed, it may end indebtedness as we know it today, yet, whether it is on the backs of the People's hardship or not, it will depend on them alone, the Turkish people to make successes of themselves; based on the assumption that as people they can all do better, (quickly enough). Certainly if the Turkish people succeed under such conditions (with or without Erdogan after the next elections) they are a force to be reckoned with: if that is the point.

Erdogan spent all the central banks FX reserves trying to support the Lira,

not having learnt his lesson, he is now going to spend everyone else's starting with the exporters.

The RoC is the pioneer of bank account haircuts and you’re laughing at Turkey? :?

That’s why I don’t like your junk posts Maximums... they’re nothing but biased trash!

You should spend more time criticizing your own government’s many shortcomings (be it Greece or Cyprus) and forget about Turkey.

Does this proverb ring any bells? “Ta dika mas dous gitomous…”

I have been doing just that for many years but you're so engrossed by Turkey that I doubt you ever read anything else...

I will read as I see fit, and I *will* call you out when you make a dick of yourself.

That's the only deal available and it's non negotiable, I'm afraid.

I don’t remember you initiating a thread or even participating in a thread, to shame the RoC when they squandered $6-7 billion of State funds and then proceeded to plunder all uninsured bank accounts of their own citizens.

A decade on and absolutely nobody has ever been brought to trial in the RoC to face charges for those criminal acts against the nation, Maximus!

And yet, all you ever have time for is… Turkey! :?

I really don’t know what makes idiots like you the way you are… turning a blind eye to your country’s crimes yet pointing the finger at neighbors, but I do know that your contribution towards the improvement of a corrupt nation is an absolute ZERO… if anything you are actually an accessory to the perpetrators!
