The regime of the rogue state is starting to arrest and fine business owners for stock piling and excessive pricing.

What that basically means is that the Turkish economy is influenced by free market forces but business owners must comply with Errordoagain's policies of economic (mis)management.

in an attempt to shield themselves fro supply chain issues and rising inflation, business owners are hoarding their stock and keep adjusting their prices, inline with inflation.

But now, they have to buy expensive and sell cheaper and not keep anything in stock.

What will eventually happen is, shelves will become empty and business will eventually close their doors.

Absolutely that’s what will happen because businesses are not a charity.

I’m afraid business owner will get arrested after they go out of business by getting blamed for causing shortages in the country.

Turkish businessmen must become martyrs, columnist says

Turkey’s businessmen should sacrifice their profits for at least three months and be rewarded with martyr status in return for saving the country from its economic difficulties, said Necmettin Batırel, a columnist on the economy for pro-government newspaper Türkiye.

Businessmen should slash their prices by 50 percent and “have their names written in golden letters on a list of economic heroes”, just like those who successfully fought against a military coup attempt in 2016, said Batırel, who frequently appears on television to comment on economic developments.

Slash prices by 50%? the average profit margin is probably about 20%. They havent got a clue what they are talking about.

Go martyr status, kill yourself to save the economy.

...but there isn't enough gold to make such a list in Turkey; good "Turks" have handed in all their gold toward their struggle long ago.

Turning to the People in this way just tells you how desperate Turkey's leadership is, how immediate the crisis is becoming.

Well yes, the TL is approaching 16 to the dollar and 18 to the euro now.

its down another 2 euro and $1.50 since 2 days ago.

if you was a business owner selling physical stuff, reliant on imports somewhere in the supply chain, would you want to sell anything when replenishing your stock means cannibalizing your profit?

or would you jack up your prices well beyond inflation?

It's OK my friend, I think he was trying to get our reactions because he was talking of some laws they were supposed to pass in December 2020. Now that I recall the meeting was not a few months ago it was about a year+ ago.
Anyway, the impact of Covid on you is actually the worst case I 've ever heard. The more I read about your condition the more sad I get. What can I say from now on, Iyi shanslar my friend.
May I ask if you were vaccinated or not when this happened?

Thank you for your kind words, Pyro. My case is right up there with the worst my friend. Doctors, nurses and physiotherapists got to know me well at UCLH and when I go for an appointment they refer to me as "the man with 9 lives". I earned this title after I was admitted to hospital with pneumonia. When I was 1st admitted 3 doctors examined in ICU and on my request to be very honest with me they didn't hold back and told me I might not make it home. I literally shit myself but to everybody's amazement I responded well to the treatment and was back home in 10 days.

At the time I contracted Covid I was days away from my vaccination. They were doing 70+ age group and 65+ was just days away. Of course I've since had all 3 jabs now and I'm being very careful. I'm not even allowed to open the door to receive deliveries. My son flew in from Baltimore to care for me and my wife as she has had an operation on her shoulder and is recovering. It's all happening in my happy home my friend

You said "days away from my vaccination". It couldn't be worse of bad luck A close friend of my wife caught Covid 12 days after her first dose and it hit her really hard. She ended up halfway to your condition... I guess she rolled 66s, compared to your "ikibir" LOL
I don't know if this may comfort you a bit , but you seem to have perfect clarity of mind. If anything this damn disease left something intact on you.
The brain is everything, it will do it's job sooner or later and fix everything, you will see.
Take care my friend, I want to hear good news from you early in 2022. 8)
