...appropriation of wealth; the process of privatisation.
...Banking was unleashed (in the '70s), as a "mathimatised religion", that the founders of the General System Theory could not have believed in; the "world" "modeled" to maximise (for private corporations, from public investment) profit .
...after austerity (from the "neo-liberals"), what? The consolidation of wealth, and an organisational force of technocrats behind it remains; seemingly unstoppable, what subversion exists.
...class warfare, 1953, "gladio", Bretton-Woods; the need to be "dollarised", recycling surpluses and deficits among countries to reduce shock from destruction: or a subordination of power by consent?
...the guy Varoufakis talks too much, Mr. Chomsky is very patient, the two provide a conversation on the deficit of dignity in world affairs.
...given the topic, dated as it is, still a worthwhile look-see.
...it takes just the press of a button to make Government Free, with complete transparency. This too, the power of the Information Age.
The CBDC, Central Bank Digital Currency; blockchains are the future...
...the fractional reserve system, and the Dollar, are threatened; by who, really?
America's lethargy, from their delusion of "being" the best, leaves them behind, in terms of the technological frontier; growth, where other countries they helped may have moved far ahead.
...and Freedom, the very core of an American existence, what is "the lockdown" to it? What is the fake economy that is opening, because it is not opening, all the Public Money spent just to prop "it" up, and, for "relief" more will be magically found, because it is a fraud; are normal Americans never returning to "normal"?
The American economy, like the Gold Standard, is no more (the COVID pandemic its harbinger). The success Americans will have, individually, will be from the innovation that they can create, locked in their rooms or in acts of distancing, (with others like minded) from a computing device (connected to an internet which can be throttled and not "Free"/free/ Free) not so indifferent in its use; social exchange and economics now, linked intricately this way. Their "power", Americans, will no longer be based on an admiration as the most innovative People in the World because of what "Americanism" gives to them, the biggest "consumer market" in the world with choices where it is clear that American products are always the best, and, the American dollar with which they can buy (and sell with) anywhere in the world; "it" will not have a point, everyone on this planet having the same opportunities, and currency, trying to survive selling each other (the same) "stuff" based on price, and, time of delivery/service. An American product, like many products that satisfy a world demand, let's not forget, by origin is mostly never exclusively made in America, or only American in build; the world is, more complicated. What is made on any massive scale has the same distinction, that their parts may come from the very same factory, anywhere in the world; such is logistics, and "branding", where quality and value are the driving issues.
...and beyond the Industrial Age: death of the Family Unit, the death of Community and Civic Pride, death as Peoples, death as People rich in diversity; the debt of course is always, in that way always the same, and growing accordingly.
...this guy is hustling his own deal, "social media" and bitcoin the cure all, to "be" rich, needless to say; but he does present what is an evident danger to all of us, where "Banks" as Monopolies (Chinese and/or American as they are, maintain this control, and), if "they" agree, to making a CBDC, the World Currency, who will stop "them" if they control the world; thus, infinite growth (not American growth) can continue to be exploited as their premise, on which there is debt, both Public and Private, things being the same for "us" as debtors, things the same for them, "making" money.
