As usual, thanks for the update. I see the source you quote says non-citizens need to use their alien registration number, not passport number. I used the former today and was granted permission fairly swiftly. Previously I have been using my passport number and this has worked just as well.

For us it was good news you can walk the dog without burning up your one daily trip allowance.

I think the ARC is a bit of a throwback. Neither of us have one.

"Each citizen is only allowed to send one SMS per day"

So, after "buying essential goods" at 9AM you are not allowed to "assist people who are unable to serve or protect themselves" at 8PM !

What genius thought this out?

If you have an MEU1 or MEU3 or are registered with GESY, the Tax Office or have the White Medical card ..... you have an ARC number .... believe me!

On the MEU3, it is the number beginning with a 5****** above the 'Date of Issue'. That number has followed us from our first Police 'registration' in 1994.

I just blew the dust off and yes, there it is. Although, there's no mention of my being an alien.

So far neither of us have had a problem with the passport numbers though, using our 2 cellphones. I am interested in whether you can send 2 requests for permission, using both passport numbers, and get clearances from just one phone. Others are suggesting the second attempt results in a message that you've exceeded your daily ration. Which seems to suggest that it's the phone number itself which is being logged. That doesn't sound right to me for some reason. :?

If you're over 65 there's nothing to stop you using an SMS for the shopping trip and form for the other outing I suspect. :?

If you get caught with no paper work or SMS, just grab the officer by the collar and scream in his face...

WHAT YEAR IS IT? WHAT TIME IS IT?? WHO IS YOUR LEADER???

I need your boots, your clothes, and your patrol car… right now!

And if that doesn’t make them shit themselves and run… you’re fucked! :?
