The US had more 'notice' and more time to prepare than the Chinese did. After 82000 infections in China they appear to have slowed new infections down to near zero. The US is now at 86,000 infections and rate of new infections is still accelerating at an alarming rate there.
The Chinese are claiming they have slowed to near zero. Le's face it, they are nmot the most transparent of countries and they lied before as well.
They knew this was going on for almost 2 months whilst the rest of the world were asleep or not taking it seriously. What Cghina should have done is alert who and the world and say "hey guys, we got this strange virus here that has symptoms like SARS and we are not sure how serious it will get or how bad it will get".
That would have bought a great deal of respect from me and most people.
The US, like the rest of us, have been dealing with this from February and onwards when we started to wake up to the threat. They, like the rest of us, are trying to protect their people and limit the economic devastation by trying to keep people working and businesses afloat.
