Like 99.9% are grateful to Greece for securing Europes borders and see Turkey as an enemy of Europe. Turkeys imagine has hit an all time low internationally.

lots of commentators are also calling for a Turkish boycott (goods and Tourism).

Mitsotakis has really kicked some goals for Greece.

Greece has won this war with turkey and secured her borders.

Millions upon millions of messages from all over the world are showing support and solidarity with Greece.

Yeah but its not over yet,

The EU wanted to wait about a week to see if there was going to be any good will from Erdogan following their meeting on Monday.

Statements have been made since then by the EU that Erdogan is undermining any possible resolution of the problem (which, he has created).

The migrants have started throwing petrol bombs and using slings to throw rocks at the border guards. It seems they have been possessed by insanity and a false sense of entitlement. Imagine acting the way they are, forcing your way in other peoples country en mass, then expecting hospitality and welfare. They are persons non grata by the wider public opinion.

Meanwhile, Bulgaria has opened their damns to flood the evros river to make it harder to cross.

Britain was right to leave the EU. That is all I have to say and this proves me right!

Look back though Erdogan's history and tell me where he has ever shown any good will towards Greece or Cyprus - 2 EU States.

And you have seen these messages and counted them yourself have you ?

You either believe in the principal of asylum or you do not. The entire principal of a state's responsibilities to refugees and it's formalisation into international treaties, was the result of the 10,s of millions of European refugees created by WW2.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conventio ... f_Refugees

Now there are 10's of millions of non European refugees seeking asylum as a result of conflict in their countries, it seems the principal and law is not quite the same ?

Yep, I have seen the messages and have been following them attentively.

No I do not believe these are genuine asylum seekers and I believe that every state has a right to protect its borders and national security and also protect its citizens from illegal immigrants who are trying ti enter Greece illegally.

Are they seeking asylum ofrom turkey, and on what grounds?

Tell him to shove his assistance up where the sun don't shine.

We no longer have that imbecile Tsipras in Government. We have Mitsotakis with extra large balls!

This is not about asylum seeking, Erol.

This is all about Erdogan weaponizing these people whom Turkey had allowed for them to come into Turkey to cause problems for the EU just so to blackmail the EU into supporting his illegal activities in Syria.

Since these people are already in Turkey and in safety from any danger from whichever country they arrived from and if they are seeking asylum, then they could apply for one from any of the EU countries embassies in Turkey. Why haven’t they done this? Instead upon encouragement from Erdogan, they arrive in masses to gate-crash into Europe. Now they are caught in no man’s land which they have almost no protection.

These are not refugees, they are illegal economic migrants in the majority trying to enter countries using force.

Maybe about 5% of them are refugees (as it has been discovered after they are detained or "rescued"). However they are not seeking asylum through the legitimate and correct channels.

Furthermore Europe is not obliged to take everyone. There are 190 countries in this world and about a third of them are neighbors and Muslim countries. What to say about those and their principles?

Even though this is not what this is really about.

What is the overall and comprehensive solution in your opinion Erolz?

Welcome to the conversation.
