...here everyday fighting the good fight, thank goodness.
...we will see how the (growing) "Problem" pans out; Erdogan, what with such fronts, in Libya, Greece, and Egypt, to name a few, has a lot on his plate, as well as Cyprus. Begging for NATO's help in Syria does not exactly exemplify a Leader, in control. Now, with his fight with Russia, what will he do that blood has been shed, while enviously looking at Russia's pond the Black Sea? Naval Supremacy is only a few years away, in the Eastern Med. at least, if he has his way.
No, actually he does not have to do anything more than what he is doing now, keeping Cypriots divided; Max is right in that regard. If Cyprus is enclaved, like in the map he claims is "equity", what will the rest of the world do any differently? "They" were burning people in cages, throwing them off of buildings, and chopping heads, what did the world do? Needless to say, those of us not "Them" are not confronted with such inhumanity everyday on the news, but it demonstrates how far is far, looking at things cynically, how far Erdogan can go.
...i am hopeful, however, that with a small change in intentions, he, Erdogan, can be a Hero, (to the rest of us not "Turkish",) and the tarnish that is on Turkey's image removed, by Cyprus' recognition: one Cyprus; as in Turkey, one Turkey.
