On the 16th June 2016 it was worth 1.52 AUD. Do some researh research before coming out with shit.

I think your lack of expertise in this area has been adequately demonstrated over the past four years or so CoCo...

Give us an example arsehole . Or shut the fuck up .

Oh CoCo, you do make I larf!

Just about everything you have posted about the Sterling Armageddon has been proved incorrect potty mouth...

Britons trapped in North Cyprus are getting no answers as to how they can leave the country.

This issue is complicated by the ruling introduced in 2017 by the UK that flights from the north not only have to touch down in Turkey, but passengers are also obliged to leave the plane to undergo security checks again and then re-embark.

It was reported that Turkey said it would permit flights from Ercan to land, despite flight bans, providing passengers remain on the aircraft, as had been the practice. However, the UK has refused to changed its requirements despite the exceptional circumstance which have arisen from the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to a report in The Times, 133 Britons are trapped in the north. One man, wants urgently to return in order to attend the funeral of his partner who died of the coronavirus while in a nursing home. Another person, a Turkish Cypriot is desperate to get home as his wife is expecting a baby.

“When we call the High Commission in Cyprus they put us through to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London. The person I spoke to there didn’t even know there is a border; she told us to drive to Larnaca. It feels like the UK is sticking its head in the sand about the people stuck here.”

No, we're not. We're comparing historical pandemics with the current one.

First off, you cannot compare todays medical advances to 1918 and 1968. It is quite likely that those people died BECAUSE of the state of the medical they had in those days.

They died because of the virus's virulence and fact it was new. Just like the present situation

You are all wrong to belittle this virus, comparing it to the common flu and such like. I have had the flu numerous time in my life, never did I think I was going to die, I didn't need the kind of social distancing, or had to keep away from my family members.

Nobody's belittling it. People are dying in large numbers.

My niece and her husband (UK based) contract the virus, they were both admitted to hospital. My niece, recovered, but her husband was on a ventilator, 2 weeks in a coma and died. He was 51 with NO underlying health conditions.

I'm sorry to hear of what you and your family have been through. No offence was intended but it's a discussion about the virus, its effects and the measures being taken to mitigate them. Nobody's your enemy in that respect.

Having just survived it recently (was in hospital 8 days) I can tell you it is Fkn scary, the guy in the next room never made it. You do not know how it will affect you, each person is different.

I understand, but despite your bad experiences it's a fact that the vast majority of people infected get over it at home. Of those hospitalised, again the majority survive without radical treatment. Of those unfortunate to need ICU or ventilator support the majority again live.

If you have the balls and want to stand by your ideas about this, I dare you, anyone of you, since you think it is just a common flu, go get infected, or get you nearest and dearest infected and go to hospital. Let us see if you make it out!

What does that mean? :?

So stop the F*cking BS you are spouting, people need to take this seriously but you MFs are making out it is nothing to worry about. Go on, I dare you, either put up or STFU.

It isn't Bullshit. What we've said about previous pandemics are facts. What's happening presently is that the world is shutting down to the point where it's reckoned hundreds of millions of jobs will be lost, $9 trillion cut from global GDP and a situation whose consequences might still be being felt in our Grandchildren's days.

Sorry, don't understand your Greek response to the fact that there were 19 patients in NHS Nightingale over the weekend.

Well, I did try but it came up with a page full of Greek and at the moment I'm 2 hours into what passes as my birthday party here in Alcatraz. I'm supposed to be at some very nice hotel up at Agros, which I believe is one of those now being used to quarantine the few who manage to make it to the island these days

Anyway, again, I'm sorry for your experiences. No offence was intended.
