There is a huge misunderstanding being spread about the covid vaccine. It seems people are under the impression that big pharma companies are out to rob us. This just is not the case. Let’s take the UK
Since the pandemic started the UK government spent near enough 400 billion pounds on everything else except the vaccine. Just the test and trace app cost us 35 billion and it does not even work. They gave contracts to their buddies hiding behind the pandemic, so they did not have to go out to tender worth 400 billion pounds. They built a hospital in London for 4000 beds and only looked after 50 patients, the rest were sent to existing hospitals. This was repeated across the country with 3 other hospitals also very little used.

The vaccine total spending so far is under 12 billion. If the pharma’s were going to make money out of the vaccine, they would have gone bust by now. The real money waster was corruption in the government handing out contracts like you hand out candy to your children. Of course, nobody knows what the government ministers got back in return.

Well, Trump is only worried that too many unvaccinated Republicans might die from Covid before they can vote for him in the next presidential election in 2024. :wink:

So, here I am in San Francisco Bay Area, California since Thursday and tonight went to dinner at a Indian Restaurant in the city of San Francisco with three other friends where Vaccination and ID cards were checked for us to be seated. I believe this is a new ordinance by the city from few days ago. I have eaten at other restaurants in the last few days, but was out of the city of SF and no such checks was not done. So there lies the problem in the US where not ever state is doing their own thing, but also individual cities as well. Anyway, the food was lovely.

I can recommend breakfast at Alcatraz.

Warning. They do take social distancing very seriously there. :lol:
