I always thought Trump cut off the US WHO funding because of a perception that the agency was in hoc to the CCP leadership. Moreover, it seemed to me that China's greatest gift was when Trump called Covid "The Chinese virus". Everybody - including the redoubtable Fauci of course - automatically rejected anything the man said, regarding the opposite to be the case. Now, in the cold light of day, they are having second thoughts. 18 months on, far too late methinks.
