Well, a doggy position can be used and a bag over her head to protect her.

Two bags if she is ugly, just in case the first bag breaks! :D

I don't think much explanation is needed really.

For example:

USA has 311,635 cases
Serious/Critical cases 8,206
Total recovered 14,825
Active cases 288,356
Deaths 8,454

As GR stated, I doubt there were many on the ventilator system of the so called 14,825 "recovered"
If we were to assume that the 14,825 were all on the ventilator system at one point, then we have to assume all of the active cases of 288,356 are now also on the ventilator system.
Of course we know that there are not that many ventilators in the USA to begin with.

Italy is starting to flatten the curve. Still big numbers but headed in the right direction. USA is 2 weeks behind Italy. So a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.

...indeed it is shocking, what a panic America's administration is in; having to end trading face-masks even to their closest allies, even to the extreme of placing embargos on what has been already shipped.

...embarrassing, to say the least; anyone who is helpful to them at this point, can also expect to be called a sucker at some point as well.

...and on a side note, watch for counterfeit N95/KN95 face masks; even "donations" from China's Republic, (never mind the open market,) have proven to be flawed.

I guess it's every man for themselves.

they are going to need them.

We had a face mask shortage and I think our Health Workers are washing and sterilizing now. This because we were too dependent on China.

Now a company in Adelaide is manufacturing 160 million masks.

I think things like ventilators, PPE and masks are in extreme short supply.

The USA did donate 100 million to Italy a few days ago. Even though they also face an economic crisis. So alliances do count.

It's actually escalated. Authorities boarded the ship today and arrested the Captain and 30 crew members. The Captain faces jail time. They are being accused of unlawfully disobaying lawful instructions from Australia's Border Force and also misleading Australian Customs which is a very serious charge. The company that owns the Ship also faces a permanent embargo.

Also, the Royal Australian Navy is intercepting Cruise Ships that were instructed to not come to Australia and to returb to their last port of departure. No cruise ship to be allowed in for at least 3 months.

I just got off a domestic flight. Only about 20 passengers on the B737. All "essential workers". I had an entire row to myslef. The cabin Crew were so bored. One of the flight attendants sat near me (with the required 1.5m spacing with a seat between us) and we were chatting. She saw my ASIC card and wanted someone to chat too. Such a nice lady. That was the highlight. there was no inflight service and no food other than cheese and crackers. I was looked after thjough with peppermint tea and chocaltes.

We were issued with forms we had to fill out. On disembarkation, police were waiting for us. We had to line up. They asked us for ID, letter from employer, and I had to tell them where I will be staying, give them my phone number and email. There were more police than passengers.

I was then issued with a document called an Essential Traveller Notice, and they ticked the box that states: Skills critical to maintaining key industries or businesses".

So now I am exempt from isolation.

After leaving the police line, we line up for a temperature check. A nurse would point a device at us and take our temperature. The nurse asked me if I had symptoms. i said no. She then told me I had to isolate. I said ok because it was obvious she really didn't know what she was talking about.

The airport I flew to normally handles 30 million odd passengers. it was nearly empty like a ghost town airport. Very eery.

Right now, the only flights going ahead are the minimum connectiosn.

We are literally a police state now. it's quite horrible and disturbing.

The girl in front of me who was traveling with no apparent purpose other than returning back home, was read the riot act.

they asked her were her isolation address is. She told them. they asked her also if she will be staying with anyone and she said yes. they also asked her if she has her own room and bathroom, and she said yes. If you say no, apparently they take you away to an isolation center. :?

I've travelled a lot and I have never seen anything like this. It felt like I was in Russia, or China or some authoritarian State.

Behind the police were 3 army soldiers who transport passengers to their isolation.

there were also testing kits there for people who indicate they have any 1 of 3 of the main symptoms.

Also been informed by the cabin crew that 8 pilots and 30 cabin crew tested positive as well as 8 baggage handlers. They identified Adelaide Airport as a cluster. The airport I just flew out from.
